Security and Trust
Flux protects your hardware designs with SOC 2-aligned cloud infrastructure, single sign-on (SSO), project-level permissions, and encryption in transit and at rest. Flux does not train on customer data.
How Flux protects your designs
Six controls protect your projects in Flux: infrastructure, encryption, sign-in, access, IP ownership, and AI data use.
Cloud infrastructure
Flux runs on SOC 2-aligned cloud infrastructure. Your projects are kept in the cloud, not as files on each engineer's computer.
Encryption
Flux encrypts data in transit and at rest. This protects your designs while they move and while they are stored.
Single sign-on
Flux supports single sign-on (SSO). Your team signs in with the accounts that your organization manages.
Project-level permissions
Flux supports project-level permissions. You choose who can view, edit, or comment on each project.
Your IP
Your inputs and outputs are your IP. This includes your requirements, prompts, schematics, layouts, and files.
No training on your data
Flux does not train on customer data. Your designs do not become training data for AI models.

Infrastructure and encryption
Flux runs on SOC 2-aligned cloud infrastructure. Flux encrypts data in transit and at rest.
How Flux helps: Your team works in one cloud project. You share a link to the project, not copies of design files sent by email.

Access control and project sharing
Flux supports single sign-on (SSO) and project-level permissions.
How Flux helps: Share a project URL and choose whether collaborators can view, edit, or comment. Access to one project does not give access to your other projects.

Your data and your IP
Your inputs and outputs are your IP. Flux does not train on customer data.
How Flux helps: Your team can use the Flux AI agent on its product designs. Your schematics, layouts, and prompts do not become training data for AI models.
Security and Trust FAQs
Does Flux use SOC 2-aligned cloud infrastructure?
Yes. Flux runs on SOC 2-aligned cloud infrastructure. SOC 2 is a security framework from the AICPA. It describes how a service provider must protect customer data. If your security team needs more details for a vendor review, contact Flux sales.
Does Flux support single sign-on?
Yes. Flux supports single sign-on (SSO). With SSO, your team signs in to Flux with the accounts that your organization already manages. Your team does not need a separate password for Flux. To discuss SSO for your organization, contact Flux sales.
Can access be set at the project level?
Yes. Flux supports project-level permissions. You set access for each project, not only for the full account. When you share a project, you choose whether each collaborator can view, edit, or comment. This lets you give a reviewer access to one design and keep your other projects private.
Does Flux encrypt data?
Yes. Flux encrypts data in transit and at rest. Encryption in transit protects your project data while it moves between your browser and Flux. Encryption at rest protects your project data while it is stored.
Does Flux train AI on customer data?
No. Flux does not train on customer data. Your requirements, prompts, schematics, PCB layouts, and files are customer data. Your team can use the Flux AI agent on its product designs, and this data does not become training data for AI models.
Who owns my inputs and outputs?
You do. Your inputs and outputs are your IP. Inputs are what you give to Flux, for example requirements, prompts, files, and design changes. Outputs are what Flux makes for you, for example schematics, PCB layouts, and manufacturing files.
How can I contact Flux for a security review?
Use the Flux contact sales page. Tell the Flux team what your security review needs, for example a security questionnaire or details about infrastructure, access control, and data handling. The Flux team then sends you the information for your review.
