Using AI to edit CADSTAR Projects

Tom works on IoT metering hardware. The legacy design could no longer be opened in CADSTAR, and its cellular module needed a current replacement. The old module functions were split across U9 and MOD1. Tom needs the new part to preserve the board connections in the current design.

Tom asks Flux to preserve the board connections while making the change:

"The Quectel BC95 module (U9) is end of life. Replace it with a current module that we can buy, update the schematic and the PCB footprint, keep its connections to the rest of the board, and tell me what changed."

Flux consolidated the module into U9 and updated its interface for SIM7080G.

For the metering team, one module reference brings the replacement into the same board review as its retained connections and enclosure height.

The new module has 3.4 mm of reported clearance below the 6 mm lid. Tom can review the merged reference, updated footprint, and component height in the project. Move your next module migration forward with Flux.
