Using AI to edit Altium Projects

Priya leads asset-tracking hardware. The contractor who held the Altium seat left, and the next production run needs a motion sensor the team can source.

She asks Flux to make the replacement in the project:

"We need to build 200 more of these boards, but we can't buy the BMI323 IMU (U4) right now. Find a replacement IMU that is in stock, fits the space on the board, and works with the nRF54L15 over the same bus. Swap it in the schematic and on the PCB, change any support parts it needs, and give me a short summary of what changed."

A sensor change with the bus intact

Flux replaced U4 BMI323 with LSM6DSOXTR in the schematic and PCB layout. The new IMU stays on the four-wire SPI connection to the nRF54L15, including both interrupt signals. The two 100 nF decoupling capacitors remain with the sensor, and unused auxiliary bus pins are grounded.

Check the new part's height

The lid-height review reports about 5.0 mm of clearance between U4 and the 6 mm lid.

Priya can review the part, signals, and board position together before the next build review. Bring your next sensor change to Flux.
