Pico 2 Part Audit

The pin-number audit is complete: the 40 main pins and 3 SWD pads align with the official Pico 2 pinout, while metadata quality issues remain around pin descriptions/types, AGND naming, package info, and footprint geometry confidence.

Completed the SC1631/Pico 2 part audit and created the detailed report here: SC1631 Part Datasheet Review.
Open items:
  • Datasheet URL was already set, so I did not change it; the report notes the direct official Raspberry Pi URL.
  • Pin numbering matches the official Pico 2 pinout, but pin descriptions/types are missing.
  • AGND, test-point warnings, package metadata, and footprint geometry confidence need cleanup.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Add datasheet-backed pin descriptions and pin types to all 50 terminals.
  2. Rename or annotate pin 33 as AGND.
  3. Replace or supplement the uploaded datasheet URL with the direct official Raspberry Pi URL.
  4. Verify the footprint against the official Pico 2 CAD/STEP package.

Pin Assignment Audit
Scope
  • Target assumed from project description: Raspberry Pi Pico 2 / RP2350-based board module.
  • Official source used: Raspberry Pi Pico 2 datasheet, https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com/pico/pico-2-datasheet.pdf
  • Requested edit constraint followed: only Pin Orientation, Section, and Terminal Order were assigned. Pin numbers and mappings were not changed.
Datasheet pin groups used
  • Power first: VBUS, VSYS, 3V3(OUT).
  • Control next: 3V3_EN, RUN, TP4 GPIO23/SMPS_PS, TP5 GPIO24/VBUS sense.
  • Digital / interface / debug: TP6 GPIO25/LED, TP1 USB_DM, TP2 USB_DP, SWCLK, SWDIO, GPIO0-GPIO22.
  • Analog: GPIO26/ADC0, GPIO27/ADC1, GPIO28/ADC2, ADC_VREF, TP7 GPIO29/ADC3/VSYS monitor.
  • Ground last: all GND/AGND/debug GND pins including TP3.
Applied organization
  • Power pins are ordered 1-3 and oriented Top.
  • Ground pins are ordered 41-50 and oriented Bottom.
  • GPIO pins were split Left/Right for balance instead of putting every GPIO on one side.
  • Interface/debug pins were split around the symbol where useful: USB_DM Left, USB_DP Right, SWCLK Left, SWDIO Right.
Mismatch / follow-up notes
  • No pin-number remapping was found or performed.
  • The current terminal designators for test pads remain generic (TP1-TP7); their datasheet functions are not encoded in the designator. This is intentional under the instruction not to replace or remap pins.
  • Pin Type remains Unspecified on the terminals because the request limited edits to orientation, section, and terminal order.
  • The Section value Ground was applied to ground terminals as requested; Flux warned that Ground is not one of the preset section suggestions, but the value was accepted.
  • The user message used placeholder [MPN]; no explicit MPN was found in the request. The source assumption should be rechecked if this component is not intended to be Raspberry Pi Pico 2.
