Part Audit Review

Review all available part information (MPN, package, pin count, description, properties). If no datasheet URL is already set, search the web for the official datasheet and update the part's Datasheet property with the URL. Then cross-check the schematic symbol, footprint, and pin descriptions against the datasheet. Summarize key specs and flag any mismatches.
I’ll audit the part metadata, source the official datasheet if needed, verify symbol/footprint/pin details against it, and update the Datasheet property when missing.

Audit of the current Flux part metadata, schematic symbol, terminal descriptions, and PCB footprint against NDK's current official NZ2520SDA...
Audit complete. The 4-pin symbol and 1.0 × 1.0 mm pad footprint match NDK’s land pattern, but pin types/descriptions and several metadata fields are missing; the stored datasheet is also older (20–50 MHz) than NDK’s current revision (20–54 MHz). No Datasheet property was changed because one was already set.

Symbol findings
  • Pin numbering and functional names match the datasheet exactly.
  • All four terminals currently have Pin Type: Unspecified; this is incomplete and weakens ERC checking.
  • No Pin Description values were found. Adding datasheet-backed descriptions would improve usability.
  • Symbol placement is logically readable: supply/control on the left and output/ground on the right, although conventional power-at-top/ground-at-bottom organization could be clearer.
Footprint Cross-Check
  • Four 1.0 x 1.0 mm lands.
  • Land center spacing: 1.65 mm horizontally and 1.25 mm vertically.
  • Package body: 2.5 x 2.0 mm.
  • Pin-1 orientation follows the datasheet top-view convention.
Current footprint
  • Four rectangular SMD pads, each 1.0 x 1.0 mm.
  • Pad centers at +/-0.825 mm and +/-0.625 mm, giving exactly 1.65 x 1.25 mm spacing.
  • Fabrication outline is 2.5 x 2.0 mm.
  • Pin-1 marker and pad numbering/orientation are consistent with the datasheet/KiCad coordinate convention.
Footprint result
The functional copper geometry matches the NDK recommended land pattern. No pad-size, pitch, pad-count, or pin-orientation mismatch was found.
Non-datasheet footprint quality observations
  • The imported footprint text uses 1.27 mm font and 0.254 mm stroke centered on a 2.5 x 2.0 mm package; the visible reference can crowd or overlap the component area. This is a silkscreen/readability issue, not an electrical or land-pattern mismatch.
  • The footprint asset is named NZ2520SD.kicad_mod rather than NZ2520SDA; geometry is compatible, but the naming is less specific than the MPN.
Mismatches and Risks
Confirmed mismatches / incomplete data
  1. The stored uploaded datasheet appears to be an older revision stating a 20 to 50 MHz range, while NDK's current official datasheet NDKT02-00008-003 states 20 to 54 MHz.
  2. Pin electrical types are all Unspecified instead of Input, Output, Ground, and Power.
  3. Pin descriptions are absent.
  4. Explicit package/case, frequency, operating voltage, operating temperature, and CMOS output metadata are absent.
  5. NZ2520SDA is a configurable model family rather than a complete orderable variant by itself. A final BOM item should identify the exact frequency and NDK specification number: NSC5083A (1.8 V), NSC5083B (2.5 V), NSC5083C (3.0 V), or NSC5083D (3.3 V).
No mismatch found
  • MPN/manufacturer identity.
  • Four-pin count.
  • Pin numbering and functions.
  • Body dimensions.
  • Pad size and X/Y pitch.
  • Pin-1 footprint orientation.
  1. Replace the stored Datasheet URL with the current official NDK PDF even though a URL is already present, to eliminate the 50 MHz vs 54 MHz revision discrepancy.
  2. Set pin electrical types and add the recommended pin descriptions above.
  3. Add package/case metadata: 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.9 mm SMD, 4-pad.
  4. Add family-level properties: operating temperature -40 to +85 degC, output CMOS, frequency range 20 to 54 MHz.
  5. For a production-ready orderable part, specialize this family part to a selected frequency and nominal supply/specification number.
