Build a 2-layer PCB for a 415V agricultural motor starter controller named GLECS V4.1.
Board
200 mm x 140 mm, 2-layer FR4 1.6 mm
ENIG finish, green solder mask, white silkscreen
Non-plated milled isolation slot: X=84 mm to X=86 mm, full board height
Bottom layer solid GND plane
Power
Input: +12 VDC via J_PWR on left edge
+4 V rail: LMR33630ADDAR buck for A7672S LTE module
+5 V rail: AMS1117-5.0 for relay drive and optocouplers
+3V3 rail: AMS1117-3.3 for STM32 and logic
AMS1117 parts require 10x10 mm copper heatsink pad and 4x 0.3 mm thermal vias to GND plane
Key Circuits
STM32F103C8T6 controller, A7672S-FASE LTE modem, ACS712-30A current sensing, LM358 signal conditioning, PC817 optocoupler inputs, relay driver and 415 VAC contact path.
Safety / Layout Constraints
All 415 VAC copper remains left of the isolation slot
3.3 V logic remains right of the isolation slot
Only optocouplers cross the barrier
HV net class: 4 mm clearance, 1.5 mm trace width
Fail-safe: PB5 defaults LOW, relay contacts open, motor stopped; firmware watchdog target 2 s
Build Plan
Source components and footprints.
Capture complete schematic.
Run ERC/design review and fix issues.
Size PCB, place components by zones, route, run DRC.
Export Gerbers only after checks are clean.
Important Safety Note
This project handles 415 VAC motor-control wiring. Final production design must be reviewed by a qualified electrical safety engineer and validated against applicable IEC/UL/CE/regional standards before field deployment.
