Based on the Flux documentation, you can delete a PCB component by selecting it in the layout and then either pressing the Delete key or right-clicking on it and choosing Delete. If that isn’t working, consider the following:

Ensure Selection: Verify that the component is actively selected and not part of a grouped set or locked by rules.
Check Attributes: Some components might be protected by PCB rules; review its properties in the inspector to see if it’s marked as non-deletable or locked.
Undo Option: If you accidentally delete an essential component, you can always use Undo (Ctrl+Z) to revert the action.
