Here’s a quick walkthrough on how to add parts to your schematic project in Flux:

Access the Library:
Open the left-hand column where you can search the Flux library. Enter keywords (such as “Terminal”, “Resistor”, etc.) to find the part you need. -
Drag & Drop onto the Canvas:
Once you locate the desired part in the library, simply drag it onto your schematic canvas (center column). -
Edit Component Properties:
After placing the part, select it to view its properties in the right-hand inspector panel. Here you can update designators, values, and other metadata as needed. -
Make Connections:
With the parts placed, use the wiring tool to connect component pins according to your design schematic. Ensure that all power, ground, and signal connections are made correctly.

Layers with Multiple Fills
Reports layers that have multiple copper fills of different nets. Make sure the Connected Layers rule value of nets with fills is valid.
Floating Copper
Detect any via, trace or copper fill island that is not connected to any net.
Protected Intrusions
Reports intrusions from objects of other nets into polygons or fills that have the Protected layout rule applied.
Manufacturing
Manufacturer Part Number
Reports parts that have no manufacturer part number.
Parts Available
BetaChecks that all parts have a part number and are available from distributors.
System Checks
Auto-Layout
BetaReports issues with Auto-Layout if Flux cannot route something or must ignore a configuration.
Passive Components
Resistor Power Rating
BetaChecks that the power traveling across a given resistor is under its rating with 50% headroom.

BetaChecks that IC pins that require pull up or pull down resistors have them.
