You want a complete PCB design with schematic, routed board, Gerbers, and a finalized BOM. I’ve prepared a plan that will capture requirements, build the schematic, place/route the PCB, and export Gerbers and BOM from this A7670C-LASE project. Click Start on the plan bar to run it.
Let me know if you want any changes before starting (e.g., target interfaces, power source, size, or enclosure constraints).
Plan
Goal
Develop a complete PCB project for the SIMCOM A7670C-LASE module design that includes a finished schematic diagram, a fully routed PCB, Gerber manufacturing files, and a finalized BOM. The design will start from the current Flux project, which currently has terminal symbols for signals like VBAT, VBUS, USB_DM/DP, UART, GPIO, GNSS, and USIM, and progress towards a full design implementation fulfilling the user’s requirements.
Implementation plan
Requirements Capture and Definition
Document functional requirements including target functionality, exposed interfaces (USB, UART, GPIO, GNSS, USIM, etc.), power input and regulator specifications, board dimensions, and environmental compliance.
Define and update project properties to include intended use cases and target markets.
Schematic Development
Select and add key components including power management circuits, signal routing interfaces, and any additional processing elements if required.
Replace terminal symbols with actual components or connectors where applicable.
Connect components to create the full schematic and run ERC to resolve any errors.
PCB Layout Preparation
Confirm PCB stackup and board dimensions based on design constraints once the design requirements are solidified.
Assign footprints to all components and configure the layout accordingly.
Place components using Auto-Layout and route all nets using Auto-Layout, ensuring that DRC rules are met.
Finalization of Manufacturing Files and BOM
Generate Gerber manufacturing files ensuring all design layers and specifications are included.
Compile a finalized BOM with component references, part numbers, and quantities.
Finalize the project documentation with complete details necessary for production.
Success criteria
A completed, error-free schematic where all terminal signals have been replaced with component connections and actual nets.
A routed PCB layout that meets all DRC requirements and is fully populated with approved footprints.
Generation and export of complete Gerber files and a finalized BOM that accurately reflects the design.
All project design specifications and constraints are documented in the project description to guide further reviews and manufacturing.
