The DXF uses a MILLING_CUTOUT layer and shows the 1.5mm non-plated full-height isolation slot centered at x=85mm on the 200×140mm board. Specify 2-layer FR4, ENIG in the fab order notes.
Do not place logic/LTE/MCU components in the relay zone.
Keep K1, Q1, D2, relay contact terminal, and relay-domain side of U_OPTO1 on the left side of the isolation slot.
Keep U_MCU, U_LTE, J_SIM, J_ANT, regulators, sensors, OLED/debug headers on the right side of the isolation slot unless a connector must be on an edge.
No copper, fills, or traces should cross the isolation slot.
GND_STAR and GND_RELAY must remain separated.
Only the optocoupler path may bridge control intent across the isolation boundary.
Manufacturing Note
Verification on 2026-06-13: the isolation feature is not currently a real board cutout in the PCB manufacturing geometry. It is only represented by:
Isolation Slot Mechanical Cutout Marker — Top-layer rectangle at x = -15mm, y = 0mm.
Isolation Slot Label — Top-layer text: 1.5mm ISOLATION SLOT — NO COPPER / NO ROUTING ACROSS.
The board outline is still a simple 200mm × 140mm rectangle; no internal cutout, routed slot, Edge.Cuts feature, or board-outline slot was found. Do not release Gerbers for fabrication until this slot is converted into an actual routed/milled slot or explicitly included in fabrication drawings/notes accepted by the PCB manufacturer.
Conversion attempt on 2026-06-13: current Flux layout operations available in this project do not expose a true internal board cutout / routed slot primitive. The available operations can create outer board outlines, normal layout primitives, pads/holes, text, and markers, but not a reliable plated/non-plated internal 1.5mm × 140mm milled slot feature. Therefore the marker was intentionally left unchanged rather than replaced by a misleading non-manufacturable approximation.
Manufacturing workaround: include this slot explicitly in the fabrication drawing / order notes, or perform final mechanical cutout editing in the manufacturer’s CAM/KiCad/Gerber tooling before release. Confirm with the PCB manufacturer that the slot will be milled as a non-plated internal slot and that copper clearance is preserved on both sides.
Manufacturer mechanical drawing created on 2026-06-13: GLECS_V4_isolation_slot_mechanical_drawing.dxf. This separate DXF should be supplied to the PCB fab along with the Gerbers as the milling instruction for the isolation slot. It contains:
200mm × 140mm board outline.
1.5mm wide rectangular milling cutout spanning the full 140mm board height.
Slot centerline at x = 85mm from the left board edge.
Slot edges at x = 84.25mm and x = 85.75mm.
Notes calling out non-plated routed/milled cutout and no copper crossing.
Required fabrication callout: 1.5mm wide milled isolation slot at x = 85mm from left board edge (Flux x = -15mm), spanning the specified isolation boundary, with no copper crossing the slot.
