Part Metadata Review and Update

Fix the relay part type and pin descriptions, then run ERC/DRC and re-check the footprint geometry.
I’ll update the relay metadata/pin descriptions, run electrical/layout checks, then inspect the footprint geometry again against the datasheet values.
Metadata updates are applied: project Part Type is now Relay, prefix is K, mount is Through Hole, and each terminal has a datasheet-based pin description. ERC/DRC is currently clean for open warnings/errors; I’m doing the final geometry pass now.
Fixed the relay metadata: Part Type is now Relay, mount is Through Hole, prefix is K, and all eight terminals now have datasheet-based pin descriptions with Passive pin type.
ERC/DRC/component-review checks returned no open errors or warnings. I updated part-review-phoenix-contact-2961299 with the details and flagged one remaining concern: the footprint silkscreen appears to use 29 mm as an in-plane length, while the datasheet lists 29 mm as height, so the footprint outline/pad drilling should be corrected or verified against the manufacturer drawing.

Datasheet source
The project already had a Phoenix Contact PDF URL set as the Datasheet URL. I used the project datasheet extraction for the official datasheet content; direct web scraping of the Phoenix Contact PDF URL failed, but the datasheet was accessible through the project’s datasheet index.

Symbol and pin metadata after cleanup
The schematic symbol has eight terminal components with datasheet-based pin numbers and descriptions:
  • COIL_1 = A1 — Relay coil terminal A1, non-polarized 12 VDC coil
  • COIL_2 = A2 — Relay coil terminal A2, non-polarized 12 VDC coil
  • COM_1 = 11 — Contact set 1 common terminal 11
  • NC_1 = 12 — Contact set 1 normally closed terminal 12
  • NO_1 = 14 — Contact set 1 normally open terminal 14
  • COM_2 = 21 — Contact set 2 common terminal 21
  • NC_2 = 22 — Contact set 2 normally closed terminal 22
  • NO_2 = 24 — Contact set 2 normally open terminal 24
All eight terminals now use Pin Type = Passive instead of Unspecified.
ERC / DRC result
The review check query returned no open ERROR, WARNING, OPEN, or UNCERTAIN items for Design Rule Checks, Electrical Rule Checks, or Component Review Checks at review time 2026-06-28T04:35:13.831Z.
Footprint geometry re-check
  • Layout contains eight pad nodes, matching the datasheet terminal count.
  • Visible silkscreen body rectangle measures approximately 29.0 mm × 12.7 mm from the extracted SVG coordinates.
  • Datasheet mechanical dimensions are 12.7 mm width × 15.7 mm depth × 29 mm height.
  • The datasheet drilling plan extraction shows: 1.3, 5, 5, 1.28, with a = pitch division 2.5 mm.
Remaining footprint concern
The extracted top-view silkscreen appears to use 29 mm as an in-plane footprint length, but the datasheet’s 29 mm value is the relay height, not necessarily the PCB body depth. The expected PCB top-view body envelope should be checked against the datasheet drawing; based on the extracted dimensions, the footprint outline may be oversized or dimensionally transposed. The tool output still does not expose individual pad coordinates, drill diameter, or copper pad dimensions, so the drilling plan cannot be fully numerically verified from available geometry data.
Status
  • Fixed: Part Type set to Relay.
  • Fixed: Mount is Through Hole.
  • Fixed: Designator prefix is K.
  • Fixed: Pin descriptions added for all terminals.
  • Fixed: Pin Type changed from Unspecified to Passive.
  • Clean: No open ERC/DRC/component-review warnings or errors returned.
  • Needs follow-up: Confirm/correct footprint outline and pad drilling geometry against the Phoenix Contact drawing, especially whether 29 mm was incorrectly used as top-view length instead of component height.
