I’ve prepared a plan to start over and rebuild this RFM98W-433S2 project cleanly from scratch.

We’ll reset the current schematic/layout, then recreate the module symbol and all pins, add labeled ports, and run ERC/DRC.

Rebuild the RFM98W-433S2 schematic and PCB layout from scratch by wiping the current artifacts and re-creating a clean module symbol and pinout. The new design will feature a clean clean schematic with properly defined labels and connections (SPI interface, DIO0–DIO5, RESET, ANT, 3.3V, and GND) as per the HopeRF LoRa transceiver datasheet, and be ready for reuse.

#Implementation plan

Confirm Project Scope and Metadata Preservation
1. Verify that the project reset will be a new clean design while preserving project metadata (MPN, datasheet URL, and description).
Reset and Initialize the Project
1. Remove all existing schematic artifacts, duplicate terminal labels, and layout items.
2. Initialize a new blank schematic and PCB layout.
Rebuild the Module Symbol and Pinout
1. Add the RFM98W-433S2 component from the Flux parts library or create its symbol based on the datasheet.
2. Define and configure each pin (SPI signals: MOSI, MISO, SCK, NSS; additional pins: DIO0–DIO5, RESET, ANT, 3.3V, GND) as per the datasheet.
3. Set component properties and designators correctly.
Reconnect Labeled Interfaces
1. Add connectors/ports for SPI and other interfaces ensuring each connection is clearly labeled and correctly linked to the module pins.
2. Assign consistent net names to avoid duplicates (e.g., a single GND reference, single MISO net).
Finalize and Review
1. Update the project description to reflect the new clean design and accurate module configuration.
2. Run ERC/DRC checks to ensure proper connectivity and adherence to best practices.

#Success criteria

The schematic is cleaned with all previous artifacts removed and contains a single, correctly configured RFM98W-433S2 module symbol.
All pins (SPI, DIO0–DIO5, RESET, ANT, 3.3V, GND) are present, correctly labeled, and connected without duplicates.
The PCB layout has been reset and is prepared for further component placement and routing.
ERC/DRC checks pass, confirming proper connectivity and design integrity.

The RFM95/96/97/98(W) transceivers feature the LoRaTM long range modem that provides ultra-long range spread spectrum communication and high interference immunity whilst minimising current consumption.
