Here are the step-by-step instructions to change your pad shapes to square:
  1. Open the PCB Layout Editor:
    • Switch to the PCB view if you aren’t already there.
  2. Select the Target Pad(s):
    • Click on the pad you want to modify.
    • For multiple pads, hold Ctrl to select them all.
  3. Access the Layout Rules Panel:
    • In the right-side panel, locate the "Layout rules" section.
    • Click on "Edit" or "Add" to modify the pad’s properties.
  4. Add or Modify the Pad Shape Rule:
    • Look for the rule labeled “Pad Shape.”
    • If it doesn’t exist, add a new rule by clicking “Add” and selecting “Pad Shape.”
    • Modify the rule to ensure the pad shape is square.
      • For a rectangular (square) pad, confirm that the rule does not include any roundness parameters.
      • Remove any corner rounding values if present, which will make the pad perfectly square.
  5. Apply the Rule:
    • After entering the desired settings, the changes should reflect on the selected pad(s).
