Review all available part information (MPN, package, pin count, description, properties). If no datasheet URL is already set, search the web for the official datasheet and update the part's Datasheet property with the URL. Then cross-check the schematic symbol, footprint, and pin descriptions against the datasheet. Summarize key specs and flag any mismatches.
I’ll audit the part metadata, locate the official TI datasheet if needed, update the Datasheet property, then verify the symbol pins and footprint against the manufacturer documentation.
Reviewed project metadata, all nine schematic terminals, PCB pad geometry, footprint/model assets, the existing hosted datasheet, and the official Texas Instruments datasheet.
Audit complete. The existing Datasheet URL was already populated, so it was not changed; the official TI datasheet was independently verified.
Key issues: pins 3/4/5 use incorrect generic electrical types, all pin descriptions are missing, duplicate labels IN__1/GND__1 should be cleaned up, metadata is incomplete, and internal footprint nodes 10/11 need confirmation. Full specifications and comparisons are in the Part Audit Report.

Power output
Mismatch: should be Power rather than generic Output
6

Logic/name correct; description and open-drain behavior are not captured
7

Exposed thermal pad, must connect to GND
Electrical mapping correct; visible duplicate suffix is undesirable and thermal-pad requirement is not described
Pin-description finding
The terminal properties do not contain populated Pin Description fields. Functional information is therefore absent even where the pin names are correct. Recommended descriptions should be copied from the TI pin-functions table, especially the “do not leave floating,” external pull-up, slew-rate capacitor, current-limit resistor, and exposed-pad grounding requirements.
Footprint cross-check
Consistent items
Eight perimeter pads plus exposed pad 9 are present.
Perimeter pitch is 0.50 mm.
Perimeter copper pad size is approximately 0.50 mm × 0.25 mm, matching TI’s land-pattern example.
The exposed-pad custom copper shape measures approximately 0.91 mm × 1.61 mm, consistent with TI’s approximately 0.9 mm × 1.6 mm exposed land.
The footprint asset name and nominal package dimensions match DSG0008A.
Items requiring visual/CAD confirmation
Two additional circular footprint nodes labeled 10 and 11 appear inside the exposed-pad region. They may be intended as optional thermal-via or paste features, but inspection did not show plated-hole parameters. TI’s example depicts optional 0.2-mm vias; confirm these nodes are intentional and implemented as the desired via/paste feature rather than extra electrical copper pads.
Exact solder-mask and paste-mask apertures, pin-1 marking, courtyard, and STEP-model seating/alignment were not fully exposed by the available structured inspection. Confirm against TI drawing 4218900/E before publishing.
Mismatches and recommended corrections
Pin electrical types: Change pins 3 and 4 to Power Input and pin 5 to Power Output (or the closest supported power-pin types).
Pin descriptions absent: Add datasheet-backed descriptions for all nine terminals.
Duplicate display names: Clean up IN__1 and GND__1 so both physical IN pins display as IN and pad 9 displays as GND/EP without generated suffixes.
Metadata incomplete: Populate Description, Package or Case Code (DSG / WSON-8, 2.0 mm × 2.0 mm, EP), Mount (SMD), Operating Temperature (-40°C to 125°C), Operating Voltage, Current Rating, and On Resistance where appropriate.
Internal footprint nodes 10/11: Verify their purpose and hole/mask implementation; they are not device terminals.
Overall assessment
The MPN, manufacturer, nine-terminal mapping, pin numbers, primary pin names, package family, pitch, perimeter pad dimensions, and exposed-pad dimensions are substantially consistent with the TI datasheet. The main deficiencies are incomplete metadata and pin descriptions, inaccurate power-pin electrical types, generated duplicate pin labels, and an unresolved question about the two internal circular footprint nodes.
