I’ll inspect the part metadata, look up the official datasheet if needed, update the Datasheet property, then compare pins/symbol/footprint against the datasheet and report any mismatches.
Reviewed the LM74720QDRRRQ1 part against the TI datasheet and created a detailed report: LM74720QDRRRQ1 Part Review (lm74720qdrrrq1-part-review).
Open items flagged:
  • Package property says TO, but datasheet package is WSON-12 / DRR.
  • Pin numbers match, but all pin types are currently Unspecified.
  • Exposed pad is modeled as EP pin 13, while datasheet calls it RTN thermal pad and says leave floating.
  • Datasheet URL already existed, so I did not overwrite it; official TI URL is https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm74720-q1.pdf.

  • Example board land pattern: 12 lands approximately 0.25 mm × 0.62 mm, 0.5 mm pitch; exposed pad land pattern around 2.5 mm by 1.06 mm.
Observed footprint data:
  • Footprint contains pads named GATE, A, VSNS, SW, OV, EN, GND, PD, LX, CAP, VS, C, and EP: 12 functional pads plus exposed pad.
  • Silkscreen/fab outline appears approximately 3 mm × 3 mm with pin-1 marker, consistent with DRR WSON nominal body.
  • The layout tree did not expose enough pad geometry detail in the inspection output to fully verify land sizes and exact pad coordinates against TI’s land pattern.
Mismatches / issues flagged
  1. Package property mismatch: Current Package or Case Code is TO, but the datasheet/orderable part is WSON (DRR), 12 pins, TI package drawing DRR0012F.
  2. Part Type is broad/misleading: Current Part Type is Diodes; a better classification is an ideal-diode / power-management controller or PMIC, not a discrete diode.
  3. Datasheet URL is not the official TI URL: A datasheet is already set, so per request I did not overwrite it automatically. The official TI URL is https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm74720-q1.pdf.
  4. Pin Type properties are all Unspecified: The datasheet defines GATE/CAP/PD as outputs, A/VSNS/SW/OV/EN/LX/VS/C as inputs, and GND as ground. These should be updated for better ERC behavior and library quality.
  5. Exposed pad naming/numbering mismatch: Datasheet calls the exposed pad RTN and explicitly says to leave it floating / do not connect to GND. Current symbol/footprint uses EP with Pin Number 13. If Flux requires a numbered pad for layout, this can be acceptable mechanically, but the pin description should clearly say RTN exposed pad — leave floating, do not connect to GND.
  6. Footprint geometry not fully verified: Pad count and nominal outline look correct for WSON-12 DRR, but exact land dimensions were not visible in the layout inspection output; exact pad size/coordinate verification remains incomplete.
  • Change Package or Case Code from TO to WSON-12 (DRR) or DRR0012F.
  • Optionally change Datasheet URL to the official TI symlink URL.
  • Add pin descriptions and pin types from the datasheet table.
  • Rename EP to RTN if the library convention allows non-numbered exposed pads; otherwise keep EP/13 but document it as RTN exposed pad and leave floating.
  • If exact footprint verification is required, inspect/edit pad geometry directly against TI DRR0012F land pattern values.
