Part Datasheet Review

  • Make the functional group more general.
  • Add a Section property to all pins, and apply the same value used in the Pin Group property to each pin's Section property.
Assign a Terminal Order from 1 to 10, starting with Power. Power should be Terminal Order 1, and Ground should be last, Terminal Order 10. For Orientation, set Power to "Top" and Ground to "Bottom." For the remaining sections/groups, you may decide the Terminal Order and Orientation yourself. For Orientation, distribute them between "Left" and "Right" — don't put everything on one side. Each group/section should have a different orientation.
I’m blocked from applying these pin grouping and symbol-property changes because this workspace currently has no available ACUs, so I can’t modify the component right now.
Planned grouping scheme once ACUs are available:
  • Power — Terminal Order 1, Orientation Top
  • Reference — Terminal Order 2, Orientation Left
  • Signal — Terminal Order 3, Orientation Right
  • Control — Terminal Order 4, Orientation Left
  • Outputs — Terminal Order 5, Orientation Right
  • Ground — Terminal Order 10, Orientation Bottom
For every pin, I’ll set:
  • Pin Group = its single broad functional group
  • Section = same exact value as Pin Group
  • No physical pin duplicated across multiple groups
Ready to apply this once ACUs are available.

VU Meter Dot/Bar Display Driver IC – 10-step analog level display driver for audio VU meters, signal strength indicators, battery level monitors, power meters, and instrumentation displays. Features a logarithmic response matched to human hearing, driving 10 LEDs, LCDs, or vacuum fluorescent (VF) displays in either dot or bar mode. Operates from a single 3 V to 25 V supply, includes an adjustable 1.2 V to 12 V precision voltage reference, and provides programmable constant-current LED outputs (typically 2 mA to 30 mA) without requiring external current-limiting resistors. Supports 70 dB display range, expandable multi-device cascading for higher resolution, and offers fast analog response for real-time level indication. Specified for operation over a 0°C to +70°C temperature range and housed in an 18-pin PDIP package. This device is obsolete/Lifetime Buy and is not recommended for new designs.
