Part Datasheet Audit

Review all available part information (MPN, package, pin count, description, properties). If no datasheet URL is already set, search the web for the official datasheet and update the part's Datasheet property with the URL. Then cross-check the schematic symbol, footprint, and pin descriptions against the datasheet. Summarize key specs and flag any mismatches.
I’ll audit the part metadata, locate the official Infineon datasheet if needed, update the Datasheet property, then verify symbol pins, footprint pads, and descriptions against the source.
The official datasheet confirms this is a 4-contact PG‑TSON‑4/PQFN device, while the current part defines 12 terminals and has no usable footprint geometry. I’m documenting the full comparison and filing the library-part mismatch for review.

Part Datasheet Audit — IGB070S10S1XTMA1 Sources Current part metadata
  • MPN: IGB070S10S1XTMA1 — matches ordering code in datasheet.
  • Manufacturer: Infineon — matches.
  • Description: GaN FETs CoolGaN Transistor 100 V G3 in PQFN 3x3, 5 mohm — substantially correct.
  • Part type: Transistors / Other — broad but acceptable; more precise classification is normally-off enhancement-mode GaN HEMT.
  • Terminal count: 12 — incorrect relative to the datasheet's four numbered package contacts.
Audit complete. The MPN, manufacturer, description, and pins 1–4 agree with Infineon, but the part has a critical mismatch: the datasheet specifies a 4-contact PG‑TSON‑4 device, while the symbol has 12 terminals and the footprint consists of unusable placeholder pads. The Datasheet URL was already populated, so it was not changed; I also filed a part-quality report.
Full specifications and pin-by-pin findings are in Part Datasheet Audit.

  • Datasheet URL: https://www.infineon.com/part/IGB070S10S1 — already populated, so it was not changed. This is an official product page rather than the direct PDF.
  • Package property: no explicit package/case property was found in the available metadata. Correct designation is PG-TSON-4 / PG-TSON-4-U02, marketed as PQFN 3 × 3 mm.
  • Designator prefix: Q — correct for a transistor.

1GateG_1Function/designator agrees, but pin description and pin type are missing/Unspecified.
2DrainDFunction/designator agrees, but pin description and pin type are missing/Unspecified.
3SourceS_1Function/designator agrees, but pin description and pin type are missing/Unspecified.
4SourceS_2Function/designator agrees, but pin description and pin type are missing/Unspecified.
5–12No physical contactsG_2, S_3–S_9Invalid extra terminals.
The datasheet has only four numbered contacts: Gate 1, Drain 2, Source 3, Source 4. The package top exposed silicon substrate is internally connected to source, but Infineon states it is not recommended as an electrical connection and it is not an additional numbered terminal.
Symbol review
  • The symbol is implemented as 12 independent generic terminal objects rather than a coherent transistor symbol.
  • Terminal numbering 1–4 partially reflects the datasheet, but terminals 5–12 do not exist on the physical package.
  • All terminal pin types are Unspecified; recommended semantic types are Gate = Input, Drain/Source = Passive (or the platform's transistor-terminal convention).
  • Pin descriptions are absent. Suggested descriptions:
    • 1: Gate — control terminal
    • 2: Drain — power terminal
    • 3: Source — power source terminal
    • 4: Source — power source terminal
  • Because the symbol exposes nonexistent contacts, it is not safe to use as-is.
Footprint review
  • No valid component footprint was found in the PCB layout.
  • The only PCB nodes are 12 terminal-associated placeholder pads, all reported at the same origin with computed size 0.0016 mm × 0.0016 mm; these are not manufacturable and do not resemble the Infineon land pattern.
  • The datasheet requires the manufacturer-recommended solder-mask-defined PG-TSON-4 land pattern for the asymmetric 3 × 3 mm package, with pin-1 orientation maintained.
  • The current footprint therefore has a critical mismatch: wrong pad count, wrong geometry, and no valid pad placement.
Key electrical and mechanical specifications

Overall disposition
Fail — critical library-part quality issue. MPN, manufacturer, high-level description, and the first four terminal functions are consistent with the datasheet. However, the 12-terminal symbol and placeholder footprint are fundamentally incompatible with the physical 4-contact PG-TSON-4 device. The part should not be released into a board design until the symbol is reduced to four pins and a datasheet-accurate PG-TSON-4 footprint is created and verified.
