Part Datasheet Audit

I’ll audit the part metadata, locate and attach the official datasheet if needed, then verify the symbol pinout and footprint geometry against the manufacturer documentation.
The official TXGA datasheet is already attached, so no URL update is needed. I’m now checking all 40 contacts plus the four mechanical pads against the sales drawing and pin numbering.

Audit complete. The official TXGA datasheet was already attached; MPN, 40-contact numbering, manufacturer, and footprint topology are consistent, but the RF / Coaxial subtype is incorrect and all 44 terminals lack pin descriptions and explicit pin types. Exact footprint dimensions should receive a final visual comparison because the drawing PDF was not machine-readable.

Key manufacturer specifications
  • Connector type: female/socket board-to-board mezzanine connector
  • Contact arrangement: 40 circuits, two rows, 0.40 mm pitch
  • Mounting: surface mount, vertical (180°)
  • Mated stack height: 0.8 mm
  • Maximum current: 0.30 A per contact
  • Maximum voltage: 60 V
  • Contact resistance: 90 mΩ maximum
  • Insulation resistance: 100 MΩ minimum
  • Dielectric withstand: 150 VAC RMS
  • Operating temperature: -55 °C to +85 °C
  • Durability: 50 mating cycles maximum
  • Contact material: phosphor bronze
  • Contact/termination plating: gold
  • Housing: LCP, UL94 V-0
  • Compliance: RoHS, REACH, ELV
Schematic symbol review
  • The symbol contains contacts numbered 1 through 40 exactly once, plus MP1 through MP4.
  • Odd pins are arranged on one row and even pins on the opposite row, which is consistent with the footprint's two-row sequential numbering pattern.
  • No missing or duplicate electrical contact numbers were found.
  • The four MP terminals represent mechanical solder hold-down pads rather than signal contacts.
Symbol/property issues
  1. All terminals have Pin Type: Unspecified. Signal contacts should normally be Passive; mechanical pads should also be explicitly classified as passive/mechanical as supported by the editor.
  2. All terminals lack Pin Description. Contacts 1–40 should be described as connector contacts, while MP1–MP4 should be described as mechanical hold-down/solder tabs.
  3. The published terminal count of 44 can be misleading because the manufacturer specifies 40 electrical circuits. The description should explicitly distinguish 40 contacts + 4 mechanical pads.
Footprint review
Observed footprint geometry:
  • Contacts 1–40: two rows on 0.40 mm longitudinal pitch.
  • Row center spacing: 2.40 mm (rows at ±1.20 mm).
  • Signal pads: approximately 0.23 mm × 0.50 mm rectangular SMD pads.
  • Four mechanical pads: approximately 0.90 mm × 0.92 mm at the ends.
  • Numbering is coherent: odd contacts occupy one row and even contacts the other.
This structure is consistent with the TXGA 40-circuit connector and accounts for all 40 contacts plus four hold-downs. The official sales drawing PDF is image-based and its dimension text was not machine-readable in the available extraction, so manufacturing-critical pad dimensions could not be independently transcribed from OCR. Before release, visually compare the footprint against the drawing's recommended PCB layout, especially signal-pad length/width, 2.40 mm row spacing, hold-down locations, and pin-1 orientation.
Definite
  • Incorrect library subtype: RF / Coaxial Connectors should be changed to a board-to-board/mezzanine connector classification.
  • Missing pin descriptions: all 44 modeled terminals lack descriptions.
  • Unspecified pin types: all 44 terminals are unspecified instead of explicitly passive/mechanical.
Metadata quality improvements
  • Replace generic SMD package wording with a more descriptive package such as 0.4 mm pitch, 2-row, vertical SMT, 0.8 mm mating height if the property system permits.
  • Add connector properties: Socket/Female, 0.40 mm pitch, 40 positions, 2 rows.
  • Add sourcing ID LCSC/JLCPCB C691131 if desired.
  • Clarify the part description as 40 electrical contacts + 4 mechanical hold-down pads.
Overall assessment
The MPN, manufacturer, datasheet link, contact count, basic description, symbol numbering, and footprint topology are consistent with the official TXGA product. The primary problems are classification and incomplete terminal metadata. Exact footprint dimensions warrant a final visual overlay/check against the official sales drawing because the PDF could not be reliably OCR-extracted.
