CM119B Part Audit

I’ll update all 48 terminals from the datasheet, using broad functional groups with Section matching Pin Group, then verify every pin’s number, type, description, orientation, and ordering plus the rendered symbol.
Populated and verified all 48 pins with datasheet-backed electrical types, descriptions, functional groups, matching sections, orientations, and deterministic terminal ordering. Power is Top starting at order 1, Ground is Bottom starting at order 10, and all pin numbers and footprint mappings remain unchanged.

  • The symbol renderer still displays some text glyphs as boxes, although the underlying pin names and metadata are correct.
Provide a concise direct to the point best description for this part based from the datasheet. i don't need a very long but useless description.

Part Audit Report
Scope
Audit of the CM119B published part project against the C-Media CM119B USB Audio Single Chip datasheet, revision 1.0. The datasheet URL stored on the part is a third-party mirror of a manufacturer-authored document because C-Media's current download center does not expose a direct CM119B PDF.

Pinout Cross-Check
All physical pin numbers 1 through 48 are present exactly once and the functional pin names match the datasheet. Duplicate supply/ground names are differentiated in Flux with suffixes (AVDD_1, AVDD_2, AVSS_1, AVSS_2, DVSS_1, DVSS_2), while retaining the correct physical pin numbers.

Mismatches and Risks
High severity
  1. All 48 terminal electrical types are Unspecified. The datasheet distinguishes digital inputs, outputs, bidirectional pins, analog inputs/outputs, power inputs, regulator outputs, grounds, open-drain output, USB signals, and the no-connect pin.
  2. All 48 terminal descriptions are missing. Important behavior such as pull-ups/pull-downs, Schmitt-trigger inputs, 5 V tolerance, drive current, slew-rate control, and open-drain behavior is not represented.
  3. The rendered schematic symbol is illegible. Pin labels render as overlapping outlined glyph boxes, preventing reliable visual identification despite correct pin-number metadata.
Medium severity
  1. All terminals lack Section, Pin Group, explicit Pin Orientation, and Terminal Order metadata. This prevents functional organization and contributes to poor symbol rendering.
  2. The attached STEP model exists at origin with unit scale and zero rotation, but exact body dimensions, seating, lead alignment, and pin-1 orientation could not be independently measured.
  3. Footprint lands are 0.30 x 1.45 mm and appear plausible for LQFP-48, but the datasheet does not provide a recommended PCB land pattern, so they cannot be certified as manufacturer-recommended.
  4. The footprint name QFP50P900X900X160-48N encodes the approximately 9 x 9 mm overall lead span, while the molded body is 7 x 7 mm. The actual fab outline correctly uses 7 x 7 mm.
Low severity
  1. Manufacturer name is stored as cmedia rather than C-Media.
  2. Duplicate supply/ground terminal designators use _1 and _2 suffixes instead of literal duplicate datasheet names.
  3. Courtyard and silkscreen dimensions are library-derived because the datasheet does not specify them.
Footprint Verification
  • 48 copper pads, no exposed pad.
  • 0.50 mm pitch: pass.
  • 7 x 7 mm fabrication body outline: pass.
  • Approximately 9 mm lead span: pass.
  • Continuous counter-clockwise numbering and correct pin-1 corner marking: pass.
  • Pin-1 fab chamfer and silkscreen circle identify the same corner: pass.
  • Courtyard: 10.4 x 10.4 mm.
  • Land size: 0.30 x 1.45 mm.
  1. Populate every terminal's datasheet-backed Pin Type and Pin Description.
  2. Organize terminals into broad functional groups with Section equal to Pin Group; use Power first at the top and Ground last at the bottom, with remaining groups distributed left/right.
  3. Assign deterministic terminal order and consistent orientation within each group.
  4. Repair or replace the rendered symbol so all labels are readable.
  5. Normalize manufacturer spelling to C-Media.
  6. Inspect the STEP model in 3D against the 7 x 7 mm body, 9 mm lead span, 1.60 mm maximum height, seating plane, and pin-1 corner.
Overall Assessment
The physical pin mapping and principal footprint geometry are correct. The part is not yet production-quality for schematic use because terminal electrical metadata and descriptions are absent and the rendered symbol is unreadable. The footprint is usable with the caveat that its generic land pattern is not directly specified by the datasheet, and the 3D model still needs a dimensional fit check.
