Pin Grouping Review

Assign a Terminal Order from 1 to 10, starting with Power. Power should be Terminal Order 1, and Ground should be last, Terminal Order 10. For Orientation, set Power to "Top" and Ground to "Bottom." For the remaining sections/groups, you may decide the Terminal Order and Orientation yourself. For Orientation, distribute them between "Left" and "Right" — don't put everything on one side. Each group/section should have a different orientation.
I’ll assign one shared order per functional group—Power Input at 1 and Ground at 10—and alternate the remaining groups between Left and Right while keeping each group internally consistent.

Ag5800 Part Audit
Audit scope
Reviewed the current part metadata, datasheet property, schematic terminals, footprint pads/mechanical features, and available 3D-model metadata against the Silvertel Ag5800 manufacturer datasheet.
Datasheet
The existing Datasheet property resolves to a copy of the same manufacturer document, so no property update was required.

  • Absolute maximum DC input: 60 V; 1 ms surge: 80 V.
  • Output capability: up to 85 W from an IEEE 802.3bt PSE; up to 100 W with a suitable DC source and thermal management.

  • Adjustment ranges: 11–15 V in 12 V configuration; 21–30.2 V in 24 V configuration.
  • Typical efficiency: 89%.
  • Isolation: 1500 VPK impulse test.
  • Ambient operating range: -40 to +85 degrees C, subject to thermal derating; storage: -40 to +100 degrees C.
  • Nominal module body: about 70 x 35.03 mm; published overall envelope approximately 70 x 35 x 17 mm.
  • Main electrical pin pitch: 2.54 mm; pin diameter 0.64 mm; recommended PCB hole 1.1 +/-0.05 mm.
  • Fixing-hole callout: 3.0 mm nominal.
  • Full-power operation depends on the prescribed PCB/enclosure thermal coupling, copper heat pads, and via arrays.

Symbol quality findings
  • Every terminal has Pin Type = Unspecified, reducing ERC usefulness.
  • Terminal descriptions are absent. The symbol therefore omits important usage details such as SA1/SA2 normally being no-connect, the control behavior of POH_EN, detection-output meaning, ADJ behavior, and the distinction between VOUT1/VOUT2 windings and their returns.
Footprint cross-check
  • Electrical pads 1–17 exist and map to the schematic terminals.
  • Electrical pins use 2.54 mm pitch in two opposing rows.
  • Electrical pads are through-hole, approximately 1.65 mm diameter with 1.1 mm drills; the drill matches the datasheet recommendation.
  • Pad 1 has a rectangular pin-one marker; pads 2–17 are circular.
  • Body/fabrication outline is approximately 70 x 35.03 mm and the courtyard provides about 1 mm clearance.
  • Four 3.2 mm NPTH mounting holes are present.
  • A STEP model is attached with unit scale and zero rotation; exact bounding-box dimensions and seating alignment were not exposed for numerical verification.
Flagged mismatches
High severity
  1. Incorrect classification: Integrated Circuits, Logic, and AND are wrong for an IEEE 802.3bt isolated PD/DC-DC module. This can corrupt search facets, filtering, and automated review behavior.
  2. Missing pin descriptions: all terminals lack datasheet-backed descriptions, including important default connection and configuration guidance.
Medium severity
  1. Unspecified pin electrical types: input, output, power, return, and control roles are not encoded, weakening ERC.
  2. Misleading description: “2 Output 12V 24V” implies independent outputs. The datasheet instead specifies two windings that must be connected in parallel for 12 V or series for 24 V.
  3. Mounting-hole drill difference: footprint uses 3.2 mm NPTH holes versus the datasheet's 3.0 mm nominal callout. This may be deliberate clearance, but it is not an exact nominal match.
Low severity
  1. Current text mismatch: description says 7.05 A; datasheet specifies 7.1 A typical for the 12 V parallel configuration.
  2. Manufacturer facet inconsistency: explicit Manufacturer property is Silvertel, while indexed manufacturer categorization appears as Other.
  3. Mechanical-hole numbering: NPTH holes are numbered 18–21. They are not schematic terminals, but leaving them unnumbered would make their mechanical-only purpose clearer.
  4. Datasheet URL form: the live property uses an uploaded copy rather than the direct Silvertel URL. Content matches the official V1.7 document, so this is not a technical mismatch.
Verification limits
  • PDF extraction did not retain every datum association in the thermal-pad and mechanical drawings, so the complete recommended heat-transfer copper geometry and every mounting-hole coordinate were not independently reconstructed.
  • Exact 3D model body height, seating plane, and alignment could not be measured from the available metadata.
  • The precise meaning/datum of the package drawing's 14 MAX callout versus the published approximately 17 mm overall height requires direct visual mechanical-drawing review.
  1. Reclassify the part as a power module / PoE powered-device DC-DC converter and remove the Logic/AND classification.
  2. Add datasheet-backed descriptions to all 17 terminals.
  3. Assign appropriate electrical pin types for ERC.
  4. Rewrite the description to state: 36–57 V IEEE 802.3bt PD module; configurable 12 V / 7.1 A parallel or 24 V / 3.6 A series output; isolated.
  5. Decide whether 3.2 mm mounting holes are intentional clearance; if exact nominal geometry is required, change them to the manufacturer callout after confirming assembly tolerances.
  6. Prefer the direct official Silvertel datasheet URL for long-term provenance, although the existing uploaded copy is valid.
