Received notification from "Molex 78757 Audit" that it finished — picking the work back up.
I’ve reconciled the independent audit with the project data. The 68-contact numbering is consistent, but the symbol metadata and locator-hole tolerance need attention; I’m recording the full evidence and mismatch list now.

Issues
  1. Terminal count is presented as 70 although the connector is specified as 68 circuits. The additional MP1 and MP2 terminals are mechanical retention/solder tabs, not U.2 circuits. Keeping them as electrical terminals may be intentional for chassis/ground bonding, but they should be clearly described as mechanical tabs and excluded from any claim of 70 connector circuits.
  2. All 70 terminals have Pin Type = Unspecified. This prevents meaningful ERC classification.
  3. All terminals lack Pin Description metadata. At minimum, the 68 contacts should be described by their standard circuit identifiers/groups, and MP1/MP2 should be identified as retention or solder tabs.
  4. Signal-function naming cannot be conclusively assigned from the Molex sales drawing alone. U.2 application signal names are governed by the applicable SFF interface specification.   • The attached custom footprint and STEP model are named consistently with the MPN.
Definite mismatch
  • Locator-hole drill tolerance: the footprint uses fixed Ø2.60 mm NPTH holes. Molex specifies Ø2.50 mm with +0.10/−0.00 mm tolerance. A 2.60 mm finished drill is at the maximum allowed diameter rather than representing the nominal recommendation. This should be reviewed against the intended fabrication tolerance and assembly locating strategy.
Not fully verifiable
  • The public extracted drawing evidence was insufficient to conclusively validate every housing outline, courtyard, keepout, solder-tab-land tolerance, and 3D-model alignment. The footprint's primary pad pattern is consistent, but a manufacturing release should use the latest full Molex sales drawing as the controlling source.
