Part Datasheet Audit

I’ll correct the VC1–VC4, LED, and shield terminal names from the official Bel drawing, add descriptions to all terminals, then verify the complete 22-pin mapping.
The VC, shield, and description updates are complete. The four LED terminals share an autogenerated placeholder name, so I’m applying a targeted rename using their unique terminal identifiers and then rechecking the symbol.
Updated and verified:
  • VC terminals renamed VC1VC4
  • Shields renamed SHIELD_S1 / SHIELD_S2
  • Datasheet-backed descriptions added to all 22 terminals
  • Pin numbers, positions, types, and footprint mappings preserved
Open item
  • LED pins 17–20 now have correct polarity/color descriptions, but their shared ~ labels could not be individually renamed due to a terminal-renaming limitation. Intended names are LED1_YELLOW_K, LED1_YELLOW_A, LED2_ORANGE_A_GREEN_K, and LED2_ORANGE_K_GREEN_A.

LED pins
The detailed Bel drawing indicates:
  • Pin 17: LED cathode/polarity terminal
  • Pin 18: LED anode/polarity terminal
  • Pin 19: LED polarity terminal
  • Pin 20: LED polarity terminal
The current symbol leaves pins 17, 18, 19, and 20 unnamed (displayed as ~). This is a clear symbol mismatch. Pin descriptions should identify LED number/color and polarity exactly from the detailed product drawing. The reviewed drawing extraction reports yellow LED terminals on one pair and the green/orange bicolor LED on the other pair; polarity should be checked directly against the drawing image before editing.
Shield terminals
  • S1 and S2 are both present as shield terminals.
  • Current names SHIELD and SHIELD__1 are electrically understandable, but SHIELD__1 is an autogenerated-looking duplicate name rather than a clean S2-specific label.
Pin properties
  • All terminals are currently typed Passive, which is acceptable for a connector/transformer module from an ERC perspective.
  • Pin Description is missing on every terminal. This is the largest metadata completeness issue.
  • Functional pin grouping/sections and explicit terminal order metadata are also absent.
Footprint Review
The footprint contains:
  • 20 numbered electrical pads
  • 2 shield pads (S1/S2)
  • 2 unnumbered mechanical mounting locations
The placement pattern is broadly consistent with the Bel suggested PCB footprint: staggered transformer/LED rows, two shield tabs, and two locating posts. Pin 1 is distinguished with a rectangular pad, which is good practice.
Items requiring correction or higher-confidence verification
  1. Drill/hole diameters cannot be fully verified from the current computed layout output. The inspection exposes pad outer sizes but not explicit plated drill diameters. The Bel family datasheet OCR identifies hole classes including 0.89 +/-0.13 mm (16 places), 3.25 +/-0.05 mm (4 places), and 1.57 +/-0.08 mm (2 places), but the detailed product drawing must be used to map each class to signal, shield, LED, and locating holes.
  2. Current apparent pad outer diameters are approximately 1.53 mm for most numbered pins, 1.29 mm for pins 13-16, 2.475 mm for shield terminals, and 3.3 mm for the two unnumbered mounts. Outer pad diameter is not the same as drill diameter, so these values alone do not prove or disprove compliance.
  3. The footprint should be checked for four LED pins (17-20) and their exact row/spacing against the detailed drawing; they are physically present but unnamed.
  4. No clear courtyard/body outline verification was available in the inspected pad-only output. Confirm the outline against the nominal 16.38 x 33.02 mm body and connector board-edge orientation.
Mismatches / Flags
Definite
  • Pins 17-20 have no symbol names.
  • All 22 terminals lack Pin Description properties.
  • Pins 13-16 use ambiguous labels (VC12, VC36, VC45, VC78) instead of the datasheet signals VC1, VC2, VC3, VC4.
  • SHIELD__1 should be cleaned up to a deliberate S2/shield label.
  • Manufacturer property is Bel Fuse Inc., but library indexing reports the manufacturer facet as Other.
  • The description includes AutoMDIX, which is normally a PHY capability and is not established as a unique connector specification by the reviewed Bel documentation.
Needs drawing-level confirmation before editing geometry
  • Exact drill diameters for all through-holes.
  • Exact mapping of the hole-diameter classes to numbered pins, shield tabs, and locating posts.
  • Courtyard, board-edge datum, body outline, and shield-tab mechanical clearances.
  • Exact LED pin polarity/color naming for pins 17-20.
  1. Rename pins 13-16 to VC1, VC2, VC3, and VC4.
  2. Name pins 17-20 from the detailed Bel drawing, including LED number/color and polarity.
  3. Add concise Pin Description properties to every terminal.
  4. Rename shield terminals consistently as S1/SHIELD and S2/SHIELD.
  5. Perform a drawing-backed footprint drill and coordinate audit before publishing or using the part for manufacture.
  6. Correct the manufacturer indexing/facet if the part publishing interface permits it.
