Part Audit Review

I’m inspecting the stored part definition and footprint geometry now, while checking Phoenix Contact’s official product documentation.
The stored definition contains four terminals and four footprint pads; the current pad geometry also appears scaled incorrectly. I’m confirming the exact manufacturer drawing and ratings before updating or flagging anything.

Part Audit Report Scope
Audit of Phoenix Contact PCB header MSTB 2,5/ 2-GF-5,08, order number / stored MPN 1776508, against the official Phoenix Contact product documentation.
Authoritative source
The existing Datasheet URL is populated, valid, official, and identifies item 1776508, so no Datasheet property update was required.
Stored part information Key manufacturer specifications
Audit complete. The existing Datasheet URL is valid and official, so no update was needed; however, the part has critical errors: four terminals/pads instead of two, and footprint dimensions appear scaled 1000× too small. Do not use it for fabrication as-is.
Full findings: Part Audit Report. I also filed an internal part-quality report.

Symbol cross-check
Stored definition
  • Four terminals numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4.
  • No pin names or descriptions.
  • All pin types are Unspecified.
  • Symbol visually exposes two terminals on each side.
Required definition
  • Two electrical terminals only, numbered 1 and 2.
  • Descriptions should identify them as connector contact / position 1 and connector contact / position 2.
  • Passive electrical pin type is appropriate for both.
Mismatch
Critical: The schematic symbol has four electrical terminals, while the manufacturer specifies two positions and two total solder pins. Terminals 3 and 4 are unsupported by the datasheet.
Footprint cross-check
Stored definition
  • Four pads numbered 1–4.
  • Reported pad centers are approximately (0,0), (0.00508,0), (-0.00508,-0.0025), and (0.01016,-0.0025) mm.
  • Reported pad sizes are approximately 0.0021 mm and 0.0036 mm.
  • No explicit drill diameter is present in the inspected pad rules.
Required electrical land pattern
  • Two plated through-holes in one row.
  • 5.08 mm center-to-center pitch.
  • 1.4 mm finished/recommended PCB hole diameter.
  • Mechanical flange geometry must be represented separately from electrical contacts if mounting holes/features are included.
Mismatches
  1. Critical pad count error: Four electrical pads are stored instead of two.
  2. Critical scale error: Pitch and pad sizes appear to be 1000× too small (5.08 µm reported instead of 5.08 mm).
  3. Critical drill definition omission: The inspected pads do not expose the required 1.4 mm through-hole diameter.
  4. Mapping error: The apparent 1→1, 2→2, 3→3, 4→4 symbol-to-pad mapping creates two nonexistent electrical contacts.

Overall assessment
Fail — do not use this part definition for PCB fabrication as-is. The metadata identifies the correct Phoenix Contact product and the existing official Datasheet URL is valid, but the symbol and footprint describe four electrical contacts and the footprint geometry is apparently scaled by 1/1000. The correct part requires two electrical contacts at 5.08 mm pitch with 1.4 mm PCB holes.
  1. Remove schematic terminals 3 and 4.
  2. Set terminals 1 and 2 to passive and add clear contact descriptions.
  3. Remove electrical pads 3 and 4 unless they are re-authored as correctly documented non-electrical mechanical features.
  4. Rebuild pads 1 and 2 as plated through-holes on 5.08 mm pitch with 1.4 mm holes and an appropriate annular ring.
  5. Add/verify body outline, courtyard, pin-1 marking, threaded-flange mechanical geometry, and 3D alignment against the official dimensional drawing.
  6. Add Package, Pin Count, and Description properties; clarify or rename the ambiguous Compliance value.
