Clarifying capacitor recommendations.

Comparing capacitor choices.

When selecting the 1 µF X7R 0805 capacitor for VOUT on the ME6211C33M5G-N, consider:
  • Stability and ESR
    • The datasheet requires CIN/COUT ≥ 1 µF, ceramic X5R/X7R dielectric, ESR ≤ 1 Ω for loop stability.
    • X7R maintains capacitance over –55 °C to +125 °C, minimizing output ripple under load transients.
  • Voltage rating
    • Choose a voltage rating ≥ 1.5× your max input (e.g. 16 V or higher) to ensure derating and reliability.
  • Footprint
    • 0805 offers a good balance of capacitance density and PCB assembly ease; ensure it sits as close as possible to the regulator pins.
