El HDSM-281H es un diodo emisor de luz (LED) de 14 segmentos, de doble dígito. Según la hoja de datos del fabricante, Broadcom, el LED tiene la siguiente disposición de pines:

Donde:
  • AN1 y AN2 son los ánodos (AN)
  • DP1 y DP2 son los puntos decimales (DP)
  • A hasta G son los segmentos de los LED
  • F es el segmento adicional del segundo dígito
Para conectar el LED correctamente necesitarás una resistencia para limitar la corriente. El valor de la resistencia puede ser calculado utilizando la siguiente formula:
R = (V_s - V_f) / I
Donde:
  • V_s es la tensión de suministro
  • V_f es la tensión de trabajo del LED (Forward Voltage), que es de 2.1V para este componente.
  • I es la corriente que queremos que fluya a través del LED, que para este componente es de 20mA.
Necesitarás el valor de la tensión de suministro para realizar el cálculo.
Por ejemplo, si la tensión de suministro es de 5V, la resistencia que necesitas sería:
R = (5V - 2.1V) / 0.020A = 145 ohms
En la práctica, puedes usar un valor de resistencia comercialmente disponible más cercano, como 150 ohms. Por lo general, la resistencia debe colocarse en serie con el ánodo del LED.
