El propósito más común de un botón en un circuito con múltiples Arduinos sería permitir la comunicación o sincronización entre los dos. Aquí te dejo un ejemplo de cómo podrías hacerlo:
Añade un botón (asumamos que tiene el designador SW1) con un pin conectado al GND (Tierra) y el otro pin conectado a una entrada digital en cada Arduino. Asegúrate de activar las resistencias pull-up internas en los pines de entrada de cada Arduino para manejar correctamente el estado alto/bajo del pin.
Nota: Necesitarás añadir un componente para el botón a tu proyecto. Aquí está el diseño de cómo podrías hacerlo:

Y en cuanto a las conexiones:
  1. Conecta el Terminal1 del SW1 al pin COM/GND de cada Arduino (U1 y U2). Esto establece un punto común y evita problemas de flotación de la señal cuando el botón no está presionado.
  2. Conecta el Terminal2 del SW1 a una entrada digital en cada Arduino. Por ejemplo, el pin D2 de U1 y el pin D3 de U2.
Tendrías que definir los nuevos nets de esta manera:

Members: U1:(COM/GND),U2:(COM/GND),SW1:(Terminal1)

Por último, necesitarías modificar tu código para que lea el estado del botón desde los pines D2 y D3 y actúe en consecuencia.

Claro, estoy asumiendo que quieres usar una conexión I2C entre los Arduino Nano y los módulos LCD de Hitachi porque es una interfaz común para esas pantallas. Si estás pensando en otra interfaz, avísame.
Conexiones Arduino Nano (U1) a LCD Hitachi (U3):
  1. U1 D2 (SDA) a U3 DB7 (SDA)
  2. U1 D3 (SCL) a U3 DB6 (SCL)
  3. U1 COM/GND a U3 VSS (GND)
  4. U1 +5V a U3 VDD (+5V)
Conexiones Arduino Nano (U2) a LCD Hitachi (U4):
  1. U2 D2 (SDA) a U4 DB7 (SDA)
  2. U2 D3 (SCL) a U4 DB6 (SCL)
  3. U2 COM/GND a U4 VSS (GND)
  4. U2 +5V a U4 VDD (+5V)
Además, asegúrate de configurar los pines DB7 y DB6 en U3 y U4 para funcionar como SDA y SCL respectivamente, ya que estos pines no suelen ser utilizados de esta manera por defecto. Esto se hace en el nivel del código que está programado en cada Arduino.
