USB ports are now labeled and have independent firmware-controlled activity LEDs:
  • J2 — GAME: green LED1, GPIO16
  • J3 — CONTROLLER 1: blue LED3, GPIO17
  • J4 — CONTROLLER 2: white LED2, GPIO5
All LEDs are active-high with 1 kΩ resistors. The mappings and control helpers are documented in Firmware Starter and Project Specification.
Open items:
  • New LED connections remain unrouted with the rest of the PCB.
  • The unrelated D1 USB-debug routing limitation remains.

Replace D1 with a routable ESD part, then route the new LED connections.

I’ll replace D1 with a USB 2.0-compatible ESD protector that has unique routable terminals, preserve the connector/device-side net mapping and placement intent, then route the corrected debug USB pair and the three new LED circuits. I’ll finish with connectivity, DRC, pair-skew, and readiness checks.

Remaining work:
  • Replace D1 with a verified low-capacitance USB 2.0 ESD part having unique routable terminals.
  • Restore D+/D−, VBUS, and ground connectivity.
  • Route and length-match both debug USB pairs through D1.
  • Route the GAME, CONTROLLER 1, and CONTROLLER 2 LED circuits.
  • Rerun DRC and routing-readiness checks.
