#Goal
- Apply a 270° GND perimeter fill around the board and complete the routing for the 6-LED ring, ensuring the preservation of the 4.5 V -> SPST -> common-bus resistor network topology.
#Implementation plan
1. GND Perimeter Fill
1. Create a copper pour for the GND net along ~270° of the board edge.
2. Configure fill parameters including clearance and thermal reliefs.
3. Ensure the fill does not interfere with the BAT+ trace or other critical high voltage/carrying paths.
2. Component Placement Check
1. Verify the position of RN1 is centered within the LED ring.
2. Confirm that LED designators (D1-D6) maintain the ring's topology with D1 opposite to D4 and proper spacing.
3. Check that the SW1 placement is at the board edge, with BAT1 accessible.
3. Routing Connections
1. Route the BAT1+ trace to SW1, then to the common terminal of RN1, ensuring continuity for the 4.5 V power path.
2. Connect each RN1 channel resistor output to the corresponding LED anodes (D1–D6).
3. Route the cathodes of all LEDs to the GND pour, ensuring connection with thermal reliefs as needed.
4. Design Rule and Electrical Check
1. Run DRC/ERC to verify proper clearances, thermal and copper fill settings.
2. Adjust routing and components if any issues are found.
#Success criteria
- A completed 270° GND copper fill that maintains appropriate clearances.
- Fully routed power and signal traces preserving the 4.5 V to SPST to resistor network topology.
- All LED anodes and cathodes correctly connected with proper functionality of the 6-LED ring.
- DRC/ERC passes without errors or clearance issues, confirming the design integrity.
