Decoupling Capacitors:
- C1 (0.1µF ceramic capacitor): Place as close as possible to U1:2 3V3.
- C2 (10µF ceramic capacitor): Place close to U1:2 3V3.
-
Ferrite Bead:
- FB1: Place between the power source and U1:2 3V3 to filter high-frequency noise. Often, the bead is placed on the VCC line before the decoupling capacitors.
Protection for Input/Output Pins-
Series Resistors:
- R1 (330Ω): Place in series with IO pins you are using to limit current and provide basic ESD protection.
- For example: Connect U1:30 IO18 to R1:1 and R1:2 to your sensor/actuator pin.
-
TVS Diodes:
- D1: Place a TVS diode between each I/O pin and ground to protect against voltage spikes.
- For example: Connect D1:Anode to U1:30 IO18 and D1:Cathode to ground.
Physical Layer Protection- ESD Protection Diodes:
- D2: Place bidirectional ESD diodes on high-frequency lines like RXD0 and TXD0.
- For example: Connect D2:1 to U1:34 RXD0 and D2:2 to ground.
