Un portador OR (O lógico) es uno de los componentes básicos de la lógica digital. Su función matemática se puede representar utilizando variables binarias (0 y 1), donde:

donde:

$Y$ es la salida del portador OR.
$A$ y $B$ son las entradas del portador OR.

A nivel físico, el portador OR se implementa de manera que produce una salida de nivel alto (1) si al menos una de sus entradas es alta (1). La única vez que produce una salida baja (0) es cuando todas sus entradas son bajas (0). La tabla de verdad para un portador OR con dos entradas es la siguiente:

En términos de álgebra booleana, la operación OR se denomina "suma lógica". En un circuito electrónico, esto se puede realizar mediante el uso de diodos y transistores para combinar las señales de entrada.
