Make me a temperature and humidity sensor node with Wifi and Bluetooth, powered by USB-C (5V) for consumer use.

It should be a low-power environmental node with a digital T/RH sensor, ultra-low-power MCU with Wi-Fi + Bluetooth (dual-radio) — 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n plus BLE 5.x powered by USB-C (5 V) — USB-C receptacle 5 V default; include reverse/OVP/UVLO/OCP protection and plan for 0.5–3 A sources.

Goal

Design a consumer-grade, low-power environmental sensor node that measures temperature and humidity using a digital sensor and integrates an ultra-low-power MCU with dual-radio Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.x). The node will be powered by USB-C (5V) and include reverse polarity, over-voltage, under-voltage lockout, and over-current protection (suitable for 0.5–3 A sources).

Implementation plan

Define System Architecture
1. Specify the use of a USB-C receptacle for 5V input.
2. Map the power delivery with a protected power path incorporating reverse polarity, OVP, UVLO, and OCP protection circuits.
Implement the USB-C Input Stage
1. Place and configure components that provide reverse, over-voltage, under-voltage lockout, and over-current protection for the USB-C input.
2. Ensure the power path supports current from 0.5 A up to 3 A.
Integrate Core Components
1. Add the ultra-low-power MCU with integrated dual-radio Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth (BLE 5.x).
2. Incorporate and connect the digital temperature/humidity sensor to the MCU with the proper communication interface.
Add Supporting Components and Sensor Circuitry
1. Include voltage regulation, filtering, and decoupling components to maintain stability and low-power operation.
2. Route power and signal paths to minimize interference, especially for RF performance and sensor accuracy.
Prepare Schematic and PCB Layout
1. Position critical components such as the USB-C port, protection circuitry, MCU, and sensor ensuring proper RF keepouts and sensor placement to avoid self-heating and airflow bias.
2. Review and adjust the schematic for adherence to functional and layout requirements.
Validate and Review
1. Verify that the design meets power protection, wireless performance, and sensor functionality.
2. Prepare for prototype testing and necessary design revisions.

Success criteria

The node successfully accepts a USB-C 5V input and safely handles 0.5–3 A through integrated protection circuits.
The MCU is configured for ultra-low-power operation with dual-radio Wi-Fi and BLE for robust connectivity.
The sensor accurately reads temperature and humidity with minimal interference from other components.
The completed schematic and PCB layout meet design and manufacturability requirements for consumer use.
