  • Place two series-connected PH2.0 connectors (E_STOP_IN1, E_STOP_IN2)
  • Select and place a logic-level N-channel MOSFET (≥50 V, 60 A)
  • Add 10 kΩ pull-up and gate-to-source resistors
  • Wire ESP32 IO12 through connectors to MOSFET gate and add resistors
  • Insert MOSFET into ground return path and sever the direct ground link
  • Rename nets to E_STOP_CONN1, E_STOP_CONN2, E_STOP_DRIVE, E_STOP_PATH
  • Run ERC to verify there are no floating pins or violations
Success criteria
  • E-stop circuit not yet integrated; criteria are not met.
Next step Move on to the “Key components” phase: pick and add the two PH2.0 connectors and the 50 V/60 A MOSFET to the schematic.
