Pin Grouping by Function

I’ll simplify the current categories by merging related functions—for example, SuperSpeed TX/RX into SuperSpeed, CC/SBU into Control, and shields into Shield—while retaining Power, Ground, and USB2.
Simplified the functional groups to:
  • Power
  • Ground
  • SuperSpeed
  • USB2
  • Control
  • Shield
All 28 pins remain intact, with each Section matching its Pin Group.
Assign a Terminal Order from 1 to 10, starting with Power. Power should be Terminal Order 1, and Ground should be last, Terminal Order 10. For Orientation, set Power to "Top" and Ground to "Bottom." For the remaining sections/groups, you may decide the Terminal Order and Orientation yourself. For Orientation, distribute them between "Left" and "Right" — don't put everything on one side. Each group/section should have a different orientation.
There are six groups but only four orientations. With Power = Top and Ground = Bottom, the remaining four groups must share Left and Right, so every group cannot have a unique orientation.
Should I alternate the remaining groups between Left and Right while assigning each group a unique Terminal Order from 2–9?
Alternate left and right
