I’ll add a USB‑C charging circuit so your battery can be charged via USB‑C and feed your existing battery rail.

Add a USB‑C Receptacle with sink CC configuration and an ESD/TVS Diode; define VBUS/GND.
Add a single‑cell Li‑ion Charger IC with power‑path and charge‑status LEDs.
Add a Battery Connector and protection if needed; tie charger BAT to Net (Argon - Li+).
Wire required passives; update BOM/footprints; verify ERC/DRC.

Goal

Integrate a USB‑C charging circuit into the Robo Project to allow charging of the robot’s single battery from a 5 V USB‑C source while keeping the existing battery rail (Net: Argon - Li+) intact and operational.

Implementation plan

Add USB‑C Interface and Protections
1. Select and add a USB‑C receptacle with sink CC configuration.
2. Integrate ESD/TVS protection components at the USB‑C connector, ensuring proper connection of VBUS and GND.
Incorporate a Li‑ion Battery Charger
1. Select a single‑cell Li‑ion charger that supports power‑path or load‑sharing functionality and provides charging status indications (LEDs).
2. Configure the charger’s charge current according to battery specifications.
3. Connect the charger’s VIN to the USB‑C VBUS net.
**Integrate with Existing Battery Rail
1. Connect the charger’s BAT output to the main battery net (Argon - Li+), ensuring proper battery protection if needed.
2. Retain connection with Electrolytic C5 on the main rail as a bypass/filter component.
Schematic Updates and BOM Review
1. Create required schematic connections from the new USB‑C circuit to the main power network.
2. Add necessary passive components and status LEDs to the schematic.
3. Update BOM and footprints to reflect newly added components.

Success criteria

The USB‑C receptacle is correctly integrated with sink CC and ESD/TVS protection.
The Li‑ion charger is properly connected with its VIN on USB‑C VBUS and its BAT output to the existing battery rail.
Status LEDs are integrated and indicate charging activity correctly.
All changes conform to ERC/DRC checks, parts are available, and the circuit functions without disrupting the original power system.
