Work with me to create my project. A Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 Carrier. The board will be used inside a 2U rack enclosure so there are no space constraints. The enclosure will feature a mains power input feeding a seperate switch mode power supply that will feed the pcb. I need gigabit ethernet, usb2 for an external keyboard. The pcb will connect to a 4d systems display - GEN4-4DPI-43CT-CLB.

You want a CM5 carrier with Gigabit Ethernet, a USB2 host port, and a connector for the 4D Systems GEN4-4DPI-43CT-CLB, powered by an external SMPS.
Plan summary:
  1. Add CM5 mating Board-to-Board Connectors and define RGMII/MDIO, USB2, and display interfaces.
  2. Add power input Power Terminal and required regulators/protection per CM5.
  3. Implement GbE with Gigabit Ethernet PHY and RJ45 with Magnetics; wire RGMII/MDIO and LEDs.
  4. Implement USB2 host using a USB Type-A Receptacle, power switch/current limit, and an ESD Protector.
  5. Add and wire the display’s mating connector per the module datasheet; finalize nets and annotations.
