NE555P
The NE555 devices are precision timing circuits capable of producing accurate time delays or oscillation. In time-delay or monostable operating modes, the timed interval is controlled by a single external resistor and capacitor network. In the astable mode of operation, the frequency and duty cycle are controlled independently with two external resistors and a single external capacitor. Each timer has a trigger level equal to approximately one-third of the supply voltage and a threshold level equal to approximately two-thirds of the supply voltage. These levels can be altered by use of the control voltage pin (CONT). When the trigger input (TRIG) is less than the trigger level, the flip-flop is set and the output goes high. If TRIG is greater than the trigger level and the threshold input (THRES) is greater than the threshold level, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. The reset input (RESET) overrides all other inputs and is used to initiate a new timing cycle. If RESET is low, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. Whenever the output is low, a lowimpedance path is provided between the discharge pin (DISCH) and the ground pin (GND). Tie all unused inputs to an appropriate logic level to prevent false triggering. The output circuit is capable of sinking or sourcing current up to 200mA. Operation is specified for supplies of 5V to 15V. With a 5V supply, output levels are compatible with TTL inputs. NE555P
555 Type, Timer/Oscillator (Single) IC 100kHz 8-PDIP NE555 DIP-8 through hole The NE555P is a classic and widely used precision timer IC manufactured by companies like Texas Instruments and others. It belongs to the popular 555 timer family and is designed for generating accurate time delays, oscillations, and pulse signals. The “P” variant refers to the PDIP (Plastic Dual In-line Package), making it ideal for through-hole mounting, breadboarding, and prototyping. NE555P PDIP-8 timer Internally, the NE555P consists of: Two comparators A flip-flop A discharge transistor A voltage divider network These blocks allow flexible configuration for timing and waveform generation. TLC555CP
555 Type, Timer/Oscillator (Single) IC 2.1MHz 8-PDIP Like the NE555, the TLC555 has a trigger level equal to approximately one-third of the supply voltage and a threshold level equal to approximately two-thirds of the supply voltage. These levels can be altered by use of the control voltage terminal (CONT). When the trigger input (TRIG) falls below the trigger level, the flip-flop is set and the output goes high. If TRIG is above the trigger level and the threshold input (THRES) is above the threshold level, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. The reset input (RESET) can override all other inputs and can be used to initiate a new timing cycle. If RESET is low, the flip-flop is reset and the output is low. Whenever the output is low, a low-impedance path is provided between the discharge terminal (DISCH) and GND. All unused inputs must be tied to an appropriate logic level to prevent false triggering. • Very low power consumption: – 1mW typical at VDD = 5V • Capable of operation in astable mode • CMOS output capable of swinging rail to rail • High output current capability – Sink: 100mA typical – Source: 10mA typical • Output fully compatible with CMOS, TTL, and MOS • Low supply current reduces spikes during output transitions • Single-supply operation from 2V to 15V • Functionally interchangeable with the NE555; has same pinout • ESD protection exceeds 1000V per ANSI/ESDA/ JEDEC JS-001 • Available in Q-temp automotive – High-reliability automotive applications – Configuration control and print support – Qualification to automotive standards #CommonPartsLibrary #IntegratedCircuit... show more230 Uses
