Routing Source Inspection
Outcome and scope
Inspected the editable STM32WL33KBV7 library source on 2026-10-06. No routing-source correction was made: the inspected source does not establish a concrete defect that safely explains the reported 38 ROUTINGUNROUTABLEPIN warnings. This is an incomplete repair, not a claim that the warnings are fixed or that the footprint has passed routing validation.

Observed values — unchanged
These are observations of the existing asset and baked scene, not a new datasheet certification of the land pattern. No dimensional edits were attempted, so there are no corrected dimensions or changed rule IDs.

All 33 terminal names have corresponding pad names and unique terminal pin numbers 1–33. Asset-to-scene positions agree after converting KiCad Y-down to Flux Y-up. Examples: PA2/pin 1 at (−2.5,+1.75) mm; TX_HP/pin 17 at (+2.5,−1.75) mm; VDDSD/pin 25 at (+1.75,+2.5) mm; GND/pin 33 at the origin. No missing, duplicate, inactive, or coincident pad was shown. This checks source association consistency, not an independent datasheet pinout audit or downstream instance net assignment.
The scene-tree output does not expose per-pad computed connectedLayers, padHoleType, or a numeric resolved clearance for these imported pads. Omitted fields must not be treated as empty connectivity or invalid pad types. The asset explicitly declares the SMD type and front copper/paste/mask layers.
Rules inspected
The four user-defined rulesets only affect silk/fabrication graphics:

No custom source copper-layer, trace-width, pad clearance, or keepout rules were reported. The imported courtyard appears in the rendered Silk Shapes asset, not as a copper keepout zone.
Relevant system defaults, not demonstrated consuming-board resolved values:
  • pad-system-default-rules: padHoleType SMD; connectedLayers All; layer Top; minKeepOut net(0.5mm) polygon(0.5mm); minSizeX/minSizeY 0.15mm.
  • routeSegment-system-default-rules: traceWidth 10mil (= 0.254 mm); minSizeY 0.15mm; minKeepOut net(0.5mm) polygon(0.5mm).
  • element-system-default-rules: keepOut element(0.5mm); layer Top.
  • net-system-default-rules: size 10mil; minKeepOut polygon(0.5mm).
  • footprint-system-default-rules: layer Top; stackup footprint-2-layer.
The 0.5 mm selector-specific minimum deserves investigation against the actual board's effective rules, but its presence alone does not prove it is the pad-to-trace clearance causing the warnings. Do not replace it with 0, or arbitrarily impose a smaller manufacturing clearance in the library. Likewise, the 0.254 mm default trace is narrower than the 0.3 mm pad; the actual board may have wider power or impedance-derived traces. That cannot be determined in a zero-net part project.
Documentation lookup found a relevant general caution, not a diagnosis: “Keep out rules are bidirectional, meaning they apply in both directions between objects.” Source

Verification evidence and limitations
  • Initial targeted get_checks at 2026-10-06T16:59:40.370Z: empty review categories, not a passing board DRC certificate.
  • Final unrestricted get_checks at 2026-10-06T17:03:21.499Z: likewise no review results.
  • Read-only run_auto_route_check: HTTP 500, CheckBoardInternalError, message “No layout node found in document”. The check cannot reproduce consuming-board anomalies in this footprint-only document.
  • No source rules, pad positions, dimensions, associations, assets, or package metadata were modified. Only this report was added.
  • Info: project metadata says Package or Case Code TO, inconsistent with the imported QFN asset and project description. This was not changed because it is not demonstrated to cause routing failure, and footprint geometry is asset-driven here.
Specific next evidence required
The lead needs the consuming-board project reference and a fresh board-check result with affected instance/pad/net identifiers. Read that board's actual pad rules, net widths, copper layers, instance version, and obstruction records before choosing a source or board-rule repair. Repeated symptoms across three copies implicate shared data but do not distinguish the part from shared board constraints.
Publishing was not performed. There is no routing correction from this batch to propagate. If a subsequent source fix is established, its availability in the consuming instances must be verified against their source versions; publishing and instance updates remain separate, approval-dependent steps, followed by a fresh consuming-board routing check. The original 38 warnings remain unresolved by this batch.
