Part Audit Review

I’m reading the part’s stored metadata and physical definitions first, then I’ll compare them to the manufacturer source.
The part already has a Datasheet URL. I also found that the project description references a different Bourns fuse, so I’m validating which identity the symbol and footprint actually match.

Audit complete. The existing Datasheet URL is valid, so no update was needed; the symbol is electrically correct, but the description and Bourns-named footprint/3D assets conflict with the Jinrui JK-mSMD150-24 identity. I also filed a part-quality report.

Datasheet key specifications
  • Device: surface-mount polymeric PTC resettable fuse, JK-mSMD series
  • Package/body family: 1812 (4532 metric)
  • Maximum operating voltage: 24 VDC
  • Maximum fault current: 100 A
  • Hold current at 25 °C: 1.50 A
  • Trip current at 25 °C: 3.00 A
  • Time to trip: 0.50 s maximum/characteristic at 8.0 A, as listed in the table
  • Initial minimum resistance at 25 °C: 0.040 Ω
  • Maximum resistance one hour after reflow: 0.160 Ω
  • Operating temperature: −40 °C to +85 °C
  • Thermal-derated hold current: 2.30 A at −40 °C, 1.50 A at 25 °C, 0.61 A at 85 °C
  • Body dimensions: 4.37–4.73 mm × 3.07–3.41 mm × 0.80–1.70 mm
  • Device marking: JK150
  • Terminal material: tin-plated nickel-copper
  • Non-polarized, two-terminal passive device
Schematic symbol cross-check
  • Two terminals numbered 1 and 2: correct.
  • Both terminals are typed Passive: correct for a non-polarized PTC fuse.
  • No polarity distinction is needed: correct.
  • Pin names/descriptions are absent and appear as undefined in the inspection output: metadata quality issue, though not an electrical pinout error. Recommended descriptions are “Terminal 1 — non-polarized” and “Terminal 2 — non-polarized.”
Footprint cross-check
Current footprint asset: FUSER_MF-MSMF075_24-2.kicad_mod
  • Two SMD pads: correct count and type.
  • Pad centers: ±2.10 mm, giving 4.20 mm center-to-center spacing.
  • Pad size: 1.50 mm × 3.20 mm.
  • Fabrication outline: approximately 4.55 mm × 3.24 mm, which falls within the datasheet body ranges for JK-mSMD150-24.
  • The datasheet’s recommended-land-pattern drawing is image-based and its numeric labels were not recoverable through available OCR. Therefore, the exact pad dimensions could not be authoritatively confirmed; the current geometry is plausible for this 1812 body but should be checked visually against the drawing before production.
3D model cross-check
Current model asset: MF-MSMF075_24-2.step
  • Mismatch: the model filename identifies a Bourns MF-MSMF075/24 variant rather than Jinrui JK-mSMD150-24.
  • The shared 1812 body outline may render approximately correctly, but thickness, marking, and detailed construction are not verified for the specified Jinrui part.
  • This does not alter PCB copper fabrication, but it can reduce mechanical/visual accuracy.
Flagged mismatches and gaps
  1. Critical identity mismatch in description: Bourns MF-MSMF200-2 (8 V, 2 A) is not Jinrui JK-mSMD150-24 (24 V, 1.5 A hold).
  2. Footprint and 3D assets are named for Bourns MF-MSMF075_24, not the specified Jinrui part.
  3. Exact recommended land pattern is not fully verified because the manufacturer PDF presents it as a drawing whose dimensions were not OCR-readable.
  4. Package property is missing even though the datasheet specifies 1812 / 4532 metric.
  5. Pin descriptions are missing/undefined, although pin numbering, count, and passive electrical type are correct.
  6. Useful electrical properties such as 24 V maximum voltage, 1.5 A hold current, 3.0 A trip current, and resistance limits are not stored as structured part properties.
Overall disposition
The symbol topology is electrically suitable. The fabricated body outline aligns with the datasheet’s 1812 dimensions, but the footprint’s exact land pattern needs a visual source check and the Bourns-named footprint/3D assets create a variant-traceability concern. The project description is clearly for a different component and should not be used as specification data for this part.
