Updated the Datasheet URL to Omron’s official G6S PDF and completed the symbol/footprint cross-check. The pinout and through-hole footprint match the datasheet; flagged issues are the surface-mount wording in the description and missing explicit pin descriptions/types.

Footprint Cross-Check
The KiCad footprint asset G6S2DC3.kicad_mod was inspected. Its pad pattern matches the datasheet G6S-2 through-hole mounting pattern:
  • Pads: 1, 3, 4, 5 on one row and 12, 10, 9, 8 on the opposite row.
  • Pad centers: x = 0, 5.08, 7.62, 10.16 mm; row spacing = 5.08 mm.
  • Holes: 1.0 mm drill; pad diameter/size: 1.5 mm.
  • Fab outline: -1.05 to 13.75 mm by -6.19 to 1.11 mm, matching 14.8 mm × 7.3 mm body dimensions.
  • Orientation mark/pin-1 indication is present via rectangular pad 1 and silkscreen marking.
Mismatches / Issues Flagged
  1. Project description mismatch: The current project description says this is a “surface-mount package designed for compact PCB applications,” but the inspected footprint and Mount property are through-hole. For G6S-2-5VDC, the part should be described as a through-hole / PCB-terminal DPDT relay. Related G6S variants such as G6S-2F and G6S-2G are surface-mount, but this specific footprint is not.
  2. Pin descriptions are missing from terminal metadata: The symbol terminal names are functionally correct (COIL_+, COIL_-, NC_1, etc.), but the individual terminal properties do not include explicit Pin Description values and all inspected terminal Pin Type values are Unspecified. This is not a pinout error, but it weakens library documentation and ERC quality.
  3. Description/title ambiguity from Omron datasheet family title: Omron titles the G6S family datasheet “Surface-mounting Relay,” but the G6S-2 mechanical drawing in the datasheet is the PCB through-hole terminal version with eight 1.0 mm holes. The project should prioritize the model-specific mechanical section over the family title.
Overall Result
The schematic terminal naming, package pin numbers, and through-hole footprint geometry match the official Omron datasheet for G6S-2-5VDC / G6S-2 DC5. The main corrections recommended are metadata/documentation improvements: change the project description from surface-mount to through-hole and add explicit pin descriptions/types for all terminals.
