Part Data Review and Verification

Reviewed the ES9039Q2M part. The existing Datasheet URL is set, so I did not overwrite it; however, it points to older ESS v0.1.3, while the official ESS site now has v0.2.2.
Key specs confirmed: ESS Technology ES9039Q2M, 32-bit 2-channel SABRE DAC, 32-QFN 5 mm × 5 mm with exposed pad pin 33 to GND, 3.3 V AVCC/AVDD/VCCA supplies, internal 1.2 V DVDD, up to 768 kHz PCM, DSD1024/DoP, ~130 dB DNR, -126 dB THD, -120 dB THD+N.
Mismatches / issues flagged:
  • Package property is wrong: currently “TO”; datasheet says 32-QFN / 5 mm × 5 mm, 0.5 mm pitch, exposed pad.
  • Datasheet is outdated: current property uses v0.1.3; latest official URL found: https://www.esstech.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/ES9039Q2M_Datasheet_v0.2.2.pdf.
  • Symbol pin numbers/names match the v0.1.3 datasheet pinout, including exposed pad pin 33 as GND.
  • Pin descriptions are missing/too generic: all terminals show Pin Type “Unspecified” and no datasheet descriptions; they should be populated with Power/Ground/Input/I/O/Analog Output descriptions.
  • Footprint pad count matches 33 pads, but I could not fully verify pad geometry from the available layout output; it should be checked against the 32-QFN land pattern: 0.50 mm pitch, 5 × 5 mm body, 3.20 × 3.20 mm exposed pad nominal.
Populate each pin’s type and description from the datasheet pin table.
I’ll populate the 33 terminal pins with datasheet-derived Pin Type and Pin Description values, then re-read the schematic to verify the updates.
The values were added, but I’m normalizing Pin Type entries to Flux’s standard enum values so they validate cleanly while preserving the datasheet descriptions.
Populated Pin Type and Pin Description for all 33 ES9039Q2M terminals from the datasheet pin table, then normalized the types to Flux’s accepted values and verified them in the schematic.

Suggested next steps:
  1. Update the Datasheet URL to the latest official ESS v0.2.2 PDF.
  2. Re-check the QFN-32 exposed-pad footprint geometry against the datasheet land pattern.
  3. Add pin groups/sections for cleaner symbol organization.
