LED1: APA-102-2020-256-8
- 8 pins: CI, CO, DI, DO, GND (2), VDD (2)
-
U1: ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N8R8
- 49 pins, power, ground, and numerous GPIOs.
Connections:-
Power and Ground Connections:
- LED1:
- Connect LED1:GND to U1:GND.
- Connect LED1:VDD to U1:3V3.
- U1:
- Ensure multiple U1 GND pins are properly connected to a common ground.
- Connect U1:3V3 appropriately to a stable 3.3V source.
-
Data Connections:
- The APA102 LED strip needs a clock and data signal.
- Clock input (CI) and data input (DI):
- Connect LED1:CI to a free GPIO pin on U1. Let's use U1:IO18 for CI.
- Connect LED1:DI to another free GPIO pin on U1. Let's use U1:IO19 for DI.
- Clock output (CO) and data output (DO):
- If you are daisy-chaining LEDs, connect LED1:CO to the next APA102:CI.
- Connect LED1:DO to the next APA102:DI.
Example Connections:-
Power and Ground:
- Connect LED1:GND to U1:GND.
- Connect LED1:VDD to U1:3V3.
-
Data and Clock Signals:
- Connect LED1:CI to U1:IO18.
- Connect LED1:DI to U1:IO19.
