Without knowing the specific purpose of the NE555P in your design, I can show you an example where we use the NE555P in astable multivibrator mode to generate a square wave signal. We will then connect this signal to a GPIO pin on the STM32F303RBT6.
Here are the simple steps to wire NE555P (IC1) and the STM32F303RBT6 (U1):
  1. Power: Connect VCC (pin 8 on IC1) to a 5V power source. Connect GND (pin 1 on IC1) to common ground.
  2. Oscillator Configuration: Connect a resistor R1 between VCC (pin 8 on IC1) and discharge pin DIS (pin 7 on IC1). Connect another resistor R2 between DIS (pin 7 on IC1) and threshold (THR, pin 6 on IC1). Also connect a capacitor C1 from THR (pin 6 on IC&1) to GND (pin 1 on IC1). To keep things simple, assume that R1, R2 and C1 are 10k-ohms, 10k-ohms, and 10uF, respectively, which would give a frequency of approximately 1.44 Hz.
  3. For stable operation, connect control voltage CV (pin 5 on IC1) to ground through a 0.01uF ceramic decoupling capacitor.
  4. Connect the RESET (R, pin 4 on IC1) to VCC (pin 8 on IC1) to avoid any reset.
  5. Connect the output (Q, pin 3 on IC1) to the input pin of the STM32, for example, PC13 (pin 2 on U1).
The above configuration will generate a square wave output on Q (pin 3 on IC1) that will be input to PC13 (pin 2 on U1) of the microcontroller.
Please note that the above connection setup is for an astable (continuously oscillating) operation. If you intend to use NE555P for a different operation (like monostable or bistable), the connection would be different.
