Replaced the function of U2 from NCP176BMX330TCG to NCP176AMX330TCG (onsemi NCP176A variant) by updating U2 properties (MPN/Manufacturer/Datasheet/Role). This is the cleanest pin-compatible choice, and matches the already-present U4.
Verified wiring context stayed the same: U2IN -> PP5V0, OUT+FB -> PP3V3, EN -> PG_PP5V0, GND -> GND (no net edits required).
Checked capacitor compatibility on the rail: existing C241 uF plus additional bulk/decoupling on PP3V3 meets the NCP176 stability guidance (>= 0.8 uF effective, ESR max = 1 uF, COUT 1 uF X7R/X5R recommended
Difference (A vs B):
NCP176A adds output discharge when disabled: discharge resistance ~60 ohm typ. This is generally beneficial for clean power-down; it is the only meaningful behavior change to be aware of.
Success criteria review
✅ U2 now specifies a drop-in, pin-compatible, equal-or-better replacement: NCP176AMX330TCG (same pinout class; added output discharge feature)
✅ Schematic connections and capacitor network remain compatible; no changes required to C22 / C24 / C19
❌ ERC does not currently pass cleanly due to a pre-existing “Missing Power” ERC error on IC1, U1, and J1 (not introduced by the U2 change)
❌ I could not attach a report file because the file export permission failed in this environment
Next steps
If you want ERC/DRC fully clean, I can chase the existing Missing Power errors on IC1 / U1 / J1 and fix whatever power-pin typing/netting is triggering them.
