I’ll audit the project BOM/component metadata, fill missing datasheet links where I can identify official sources, then compare symbols/footprints/pins against datasheet information and report mismatches.
I found 33 unique part types; most passives/power symbols don’t have useful official datasheets, so I’m focusing the datasheet-link audit on ICs, connectors, protection, switches, crystals, inductors, and discrete semiconductors.
Here's a summary of what I was working on:
Updating designator properties
I need to update some properties and grab the exact designators from the schematic to ensure uniqueness. It seems I might need to update all instances with the same designator, but I’m not sure if the designator is ambiguous or if I should use the full designator. For parts like U3, I might need to rewrite using the displayed designator from the schematic, such as W25. It’s tricky, but I can manage it. I'll also need some URLs, though some may not be official.
Wirelessly connects nets on schematic. Used to organize schematics and separate functional blocks. To wirelessly connect net portals, give them same designator. #portal
