Board Ground Connections
i want to input ground to the board throught the top J5 pin, where else is the board grounded to use a voltmeter

There is more than one grounding point available. The board’s schematic ties all ground connections into the common GND net. In addition to connecting at the top J5 pin, the GND net is connected (via the Ground components and the ground pads on many parts) at several locations—for example, the ground pins on [U2], [U4], [C1], and [C2] are all part of the same ground network.
So if you apply your voltmeter between your chosen ground input (J5) and any other point on the board that is tied to the GND net, you should measure 0 V or close to it. This allows you to verify that the board’s ground reference is intact.
