Feedback Resistor Divider:
- Change the resistor values in the divider network that sets the output voltage. The TPS563201 datasheet gives the formula to determine the resistor ratio based on the internal reference voltage. Recalculate the resistor values so that the divider provides a 5 V output.
Current Handling Components:
- Verify that the inductor, diode, and any other power components (switches, capacitors) are rated for a continuous current of 3 A. If your current design was for 3.3 V at a lower current, you may need to select parts with improved ratings to safely deliver 3 A load.
Compensation Network and Layout:
- It’s important to review the compensation components and layout guidelines offered in the datasheet to ensure that the converter remains stable at the new operating point.
