Here’s exactly what the Flux documentation says about using Convert to Component:
To convert a group of components into a single component:Adding Terminals
- Select all the components you want to convert.
- Right-click and select “Convert to Component”
As mentioned, using the “Convert to Component” option turns a group of components into a module. As with any module, terminals are required to use it in a project.If the group of components you’ve selected doesn’t contain any terminals, the resulting module won’t have any connections.Image
There are two ways to add terminals:
- Add terminals to the group of components before using the “Convert to Component” option
- After using the “Convert to Component” option, right-click on the generated module and select “Open”. Once inside the module, drag the terminals to the desired position and then publish the changes.

Reports intrusions from objects of other nets into polygons or fills that have the Protected layout rule applied.

Manufacturer Part Number
Reports parts that have no manufacturer part number.
Parts Available
BetaChecks that all parts have a part number and are available from distributors.
System Checks
Auto-Layout
BetaReports issues with Auto-Layout if Flux cannot route something or must ignore a configuration.

Resistor Power Rating
BetaChecks that the power traveling across a given resistor is under its rating with 50% headroom.
