#Implementation plan

Define and document system architecture
1. Establish and record sensor node specifications in the project description.
2. Define power supply requirements and protection parameters (reverse protection, OVP, UVLO, OCP).
Select and add major components
1. Select and add an ultra-low-power MCU module with integrated dual-radio Wi-Fi and BLE supporting 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n and BLE 5.x.
2. Select and add a digital temperature/humidity sensor (e.g. a Sensirion digital sensor) based on datasheet recommendations.
Design and add USB-C power subsystem
1. Add a USB-C receptacle supporting 5 V power.
2. Integrate a protection stage using appropriate components to implement reverse polarity protection, over-voltage, under-voltage lockout, and over-current protection (targeting 0.5–3 A sources).
3. Add and connect required passives (resistors, capacitors) as recommended by the power protection IC datasheets.
Integrate supporting circuitry and make connections
1. Add voltage regulation and power distribution circuitry to provide clean power to the MCU and sensor.
2. Connect USB-C power through the protection stage to the regulator and relevant components.
Prepare for PCB layout
1. Plan RC components and RF/antenna layout according to 2.4 GHz guidelines.
2. Configure appropriate board stackup (potentially a 4-layer design) to meet RF, power integrity, and cost requirements.
Update project metadata
1. Record design decisions and component choices in the project properties for future reference and review.
