Magic Notebook Schematic Review

I completed the schematic for the Magic Notebook backing board: ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8, USB-C power/data with ESD and CC pull-downs, LiPo charging/protection, AP2112K 3.3 V regulation, TSC2007 touch controller, OPA2333 auxiliary buffer, FPC touch connector, buttons, LED, and all required passives. I also created project docs for the spec, power budget, firmware starter, bring-up plan, and regulatory notes, then ran validation; the selected checks came back clean.
Estimated time saved vs. manual EDA workflow: ~8–12 hours.
Open items:
  • The exact SGM4056 part was not available, so I used SGM40567; confirm the ordered variant is the intended 4.2 V LiPo charger before fabrication.
  • Layout is not done yet.
  • AI features are currently unavailable because the account has no available ACUs, so I can’t continue executing more tasks in this run.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Place components on a compact 4-layer A5 backing-board layout.
  2. Route USB D+/D− as a controlled-impedance pair and enforce ESP32 antenna keepout.
  3. Review the SGM40567 charger variant before ordering boards.
  4. Add test points for VBUS, BAT_PLUS, 3V3, GND, SDA/SCL, and PENIRQ.
