, added its model node directly under root, outside the footprint folder, and linked its Asset rule. Verified nominal dimensions, orientation, and all three terminal-to-pad alignments.
Remaining caveat: visual seating could not be confirmed because the preview uses inconsistent board-surface heights; I preserved the model’s correct seating datum rather than guessing an offset. Details are in Package Model.
Authored nominal CSS-1210MC package in millimetres as six separately coloured solids: LCP housing, stainless cover, LCP actuator and three gold-plated terminals. This is an assembly-clearance model, not a fabrication drawing.
Model node: b39f813c-4d64-49f6-9630-ccbfac1232cd, named Slide Switch v1, parent ROOT. Root placement is the user's explicit override; the model is outside the footprint folder.
Source origin is body centre XY; local z=0 is seating plane. Housing/cover occupy z=0…2 mm; through-hole terminals z=-2…0 mm. No artificial rendering compensation is baked into source.
Source evidence and nominal dimensions
The supplied PDF was found in the project's Datasheet URL property. Pages 1–2 identify materials and variant; the CSS-1210C mechanical drawing is at the lower right of PDF page 3. MC is the magazine-packaged through-hole-pin variant, not the gull-wing B variant.
Manually transcribed from page 3; automated citation verification unresolved
The mechanical drawing was rasterized and visually inspected, rather than inferring body dimensions from the pads. The first automated datasheet answer incorrectly associated 0.2 mm with terminal thickness; the exact CSS-1210C drawing visibly labels 0.25 mm, which was used. A focused follow-up exhausted retrieval without validating all side-view labels; those entries above are explicitly not machine-citation-verified.
The material table specifies SUS304 cover, LCP housing/slider, and gold-plated copper-alloy terminal pins. Authored colours are black package plastic #1c1c1c, bright steel #d0d5db, and gold #edbe51.
Footprint alignment
Existing footprint ae675efa-91f2-4443-874a-b59e6ebdb256.defaultFootprint is Top side, position/rotation zero. Its computed scene pad centres—not raw KiCad Y-down values—were inspected. All pads are 1.2 mm across with approximately 0.6 mm drills. Pad 1 is rectangular; pads 2 and 3 circular. There is no separate pin-1 silk dot; the square land is the existing marker. No fictitious physical pin-1 dimple was added to this switch.

Translation (1,-0.7,0) places the body at X=-3.425…5.425 and Y=-2.2…0.8 mm, matching existing silk limits X≈-3.43…5.43 and Y=-2.2…0.8. The actuator is shown in the left detent, centred at board X=0, projecting toward -Y to -4.2 mm, matching its silk. Terminal-to-pad XY residual is numerically zero (floating-point Y residual 2.2e-16 mm).
Validation and remaining warning
Completed: source executes with valid volume and six solids. Validated asset upload reports 8.85 × 5 × 4 mm overall including actuator/pins, 54.6694 mm³, 6 solids, 45 faces. Each terminal is 0.5 × 0.25 × 2 mm. No 1000× scaling correction is present.
Completed: read-back confirms exact asset, ROOT parent, Top orientation, translation and zero rotation; footprint pad UIDs and geometry remain unchanged by this work. Model-only top/oblique views show upright body and actuator on the correct side; bottom view shows three pins in the three existing hole regions, with terminal 1 at the square pad.
Completed: Missing Terminals and Excluded Terminal checks returned Success at 2026-10-19T13:01:47Z. Generic board DRC checks returned no result for this part project; this is not a clean board-DRC claim.
Warning / seating render verification blocked: the combined part-preview render shows an apparent approximately 0.8 mm body-to-copper gap, despite source seat z=0 and node z=0. The exported fluxscene reports board.substrateThickness=0, while the footprint tree reports 1.4986 mm and its generated board GLB contains PCB geometry 1.6 mm thick with copper at the zero datum. The scene model position is z=0.035 mm (automatic top-copper offset). This inconsistent preview-board datum prevents a trustworthy visual seating sign-off. The physically correct authored seating datum was preserved instead of introducing a guessed -0.8 mm model offset. A renderer/board-preview correction or independent assembly check is still required for final visual seating approval.
Info: pipeline thin-feature/support findings are expected for a multi-material manufactured electronic package (0.25 mm terminals, 0.6 mm slider and z-negative pins), not evidence of an intended 3D-printable part.
Simplifications and scope
Noncritical approximations are an undimensioned 0.15 mm cover wall, simple rectangular housing, 0.8 mm hidden slider pocket/root, and omitted stamped retention details, contact internals, terminal tip tapers and production-code printing. Nominal exterior and terminal geometry is retained; do not use this for tolerance-critical mating or switch manufacture.
Because ROOT placement was explicitly required, the model does not inherit future footprint-folder movements: update its transform if that footprint is moved. Existing footprint asset, symbol, pins and other assets were not replaced. Other agents may independently add footprint rules.
Assigned batch status: model authoring/upload/ROOT placement/alignment/documentation completed; final visual board-seating approval failed/blocked by inconsistent part-preview board datum. No build items were left unattempted. This status does not assert completion of the parent task.
